Every little bit counts. Thanks for joining us.

Just dropped in to say thanks to everyone who's still hashing here.

Keep on hashing, we'll crack one sooner or later Smiley

...I pulled all my rental coin out of nicehash  and no longer rent from them.
I have mixed feelings after making 0.8BTC (and a 0.2BTC rental for here), doing roll-overs on an alt with an initial 0.03BTC rental this weekend (basically turning .03BTC into 1BTC). In mining (as in poker, craps, and roulette): some days are winners and some days suck ass.

You have issues with their service now? Are you still renting anything? MRR is probably the only other substantially sized renter available as far as I'm aware.

Did you ever get any action from your NH ticket?
They closed mine without even so much as a reply.  Cry

Maybe switch to MRR at least you can control renting and with who. Service is great.
Far too many MMR "miners" are NH resellers; do so with caution.

Maybe I will toss some here.

near as I can tell  we have done 1,000,000,000 plus

and 700,000,000  would be average luck so we are due Grin
Every hash is welcome and appreciated Smiley Just bear in mind someone else is mining here renting from NH so make sure you're not competing with him.

Am I able to connect to this using a Rockminer T1? So far no luck.
So far no luck with any pool with the T1...
Read the website instructions please.

Quote
If you have an asicminer tube/prisma, you can use a custom port 3335 (only accepts usernames without worker extensions) eg:
solo.ckpool.org:3335

I was on this site:http://ckpool.org/  It didn't say anything about that.
Now I have found the solo site. Thank you.

Unfortunately it still doesn't work.

Lower difficulty puts more stress on fast ASIC miners since the miner has to process an excessive number of shares in a short period of time. If the miner would be working only on a few shares with higher difficulty the efficiency of the miner would be higher.
@ck
I was under the impression that ASICs are always processing 1diff shares and all that diff setting means is "Don't send any result under this value to the server". Have I been wrong about that all of this time?  Or are they just over-simplifying and calling "processing" the act of sending to the server? Undecided
It's partially true, but their reasoning is a lie. Today's ASICs actually filter out low diff shares themselves but the problem is their server since it collates the shares from multiple miners and passes them on. There is no such thing as a standalone asic itself that needs anything more than diff 10k since the S9 is the biggest miner around and really it works fine at lower diffs and only gets overloaded at diffs of under 1k. Presumably they're running into load issues on their servers.

Yeah, I didn't have problems with them before they updated the site. I put in a ticket telling them all the issues I had and basically that the site/service sucks now. lol  Lots of bugs, I was even getting odd errors when just trying to place an order.
I even have these issues with my current order placed on the old site.  Undecided

Nicehash recently implemented a minimum difficulty for all algo's the list is at https://new.nicehash.com/pool-operators sha256 is currently minimum difficulty of 16384. Just personal opinion but it seems like a cash grab on their part.

Not sure what's up with nicehash, I tried to rent some hash and the orders keep canceling. Now it says min diff is 65535
I put in a ticket about that (with no answer as of yet). They have "min_diff_initial":"16383" which works, but the "min_diff_working":"65535" is what screws it up when the speed isn't high enough to kick diff up to 65535 (i.e., pretty much anything under 90TH).

So, if they don't put enough hash on the connection, then they disconnect it for not having a diff higher than the diff should be for that hashrate.  Roll Eyes
And in the meantime they charge "Extra rewards" of about 30% of what they disconnect.  Undecided

I have a question,
Since I've read an article that bitmain will split BTC and all the pools they are managing are signaling all blocks with segwitx2

What we will get if we find a block after the split?
This and the solo pool are compatible with the upcoming segwit component of the New York Agreement AKA segwit2x soft fork and any blocks we find will be valid and accepted. Of course we need to actually have a hashrate to find blocks...

Hopefully it shall help us crack this elusive block. . .
In ck's [BETA] pool, elusive block cracks the pool!

- sorry ck, I couldn't resist

Dammit I should be annoyed but that's funny.
