Oh, btw. -ckpool is my personal choice of pool. Has nothing to do with mfb as we do not farm/mine as a company. Just to clear up anything for everyone.

-ck, what would be the best way to change payment address? Just flat out? ramp up small hash then swap everything? Or does it not matter with your pool design?

I've been thinking about this as well.  My plan is to run up the my current address until it's in the payout list, then switch my miners to the new address.

That shouldn't leave anything on the old address when the next block hits.

It's going to be hot here today and tomorrow close to 100F. No exhaust upgrade yet. .... Hoping to have two of four hashing through it. I heard/read somewhere about a 12% drop in diff? or was I mistaken?

User error if you can imagine that. Missed that one at 1:00 am this morning. My apologies. Newbie error.

Why you gotta get my hopes up like that? The cruelty.
I have a self imposed no post punishment for 1 week. (Unless I see the next block first Smiley )

Well back to blocks and beer. ? %

# off... # on... Mr. Nyagi  Wink
Were you claiming we hit a block or was your timing perfect?
Block!
I haven't seen a block solve on the pool for nearly 16 hours... I'm not sure where your `Block!' is coming from... and I'm easily led astray! So, I'll take it as wishful thinking for now... Hash on, all...
Anybody else? I had an equivalent share of BTC hit my targeted address as if we hit a block?

The answers you are looking for are likely in the first pages of:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/gekkoscience-2paccompac-bm1384-stickminer-official-support-thread-1764803
or
On the cgminer setup pages and readme files.

Now we're really off topic and you have some reading and testing to do... it's gonna take some of YOUR time...
For my defense, I did spend quite a bit of time on this (including going through the readme file and 2PAC thread) without succeeding.
I managed to have it work nicely on a batch file or command line, but not in a config file.
I want to go the config file way, mainly because I can't figure out how to set up multiple pool in a command line, which you can do in a config file.
My mistake actually was that I tried "suggest-diff" : 128 in the config file without the "" around "128" and cgminer does not like it...
Thanks for your help, and the explanation on the diff with the pool :-)

After reading your 'defense'. I find you guilty of trying to hard. Keep on mining.
BigOli:
I am mining here, plus -CK's solo pool, plus a multi-pool alt coin concurrently. All miners are in one good quality hub and started by three different .bat files - all running thru an older Windoze 10 computer... so what you seek is certainly possible using my method... it's not the only path perhaps but it's easy enough for me... good luck and good mining...

Doesn't the poll [pool?] set diff for us?
It does if you don't use --suggest-diff `__' - but its default is set around 10,000 now so when you start a new stick miner up it can take a l-o-n-g time for you to get an Accepted share... that's what the pool needs to set a difficulty for you, so it speeds up the process and/or gives you some control. Previously Genie has offered up the math to prove there's no real difference in the difficulty you choose... but sometimes it's nice to see the little miners at work...
