I was just trying to bait CG as it seemed they were in playful mood considering the lack the block atm.

Maybe the movement in the candles, or maybe it's not so hot there today.

So you're saying a hash isn't always equal to a hash? Wink
-ck would be the one to chime in on this since he should have actual stats available assuming a miner reports what it is and after all he *did* write the base code for the Avalons. Considering that Canaan has always been up-front with keeping their software as open source highly doubt there is a 'problem' with it.

Do remember that when the s9 1st came out more than 1 pool op made mention of their extrapolated success rate at finding a block not being what they had seen from other (earlier Ants & Avalon6?) miners though that has become a moot point over time.

Not unless you want to differentiate from each worker. Might be good for troubleshooting or clocking.

No T9 or s9i at these prices huh?

2nd V9 added to my farm today (don't laugh please)

Previously only one V9 and the GekkoScience pods & USB miners

Never used a worker name for either

Is it necessary to add work names with the two V9's?

Does the pool prefer the assignment of the difficulty to different workers and would they conflict otherwise?

Sorry for all the newbie questions. TIA  Smiley

Since DragonMint miners have found most of our blocks and Avalons have been underwhelming thus far in finding blocks in the last 15 months, I'm hereby declaring that there's statistical proof that the A7 firmware is responsible for our bad luck and the current 322+% of expected shares but still no block.  Grin
And of course the fact that the 'mints account for over 85% of the pool hashrate with s9's in 2nd place has nothing to do with it right? That proves that it is the s9's are to blame... Wink
From what I was once told, other factors (including the Law of Averages)do not change the A7 culpability and that the number of S9s and real-world factors do not change the existing statistics. By extension, a change in A7 firmware would not diminish the lifelong impact that they will have on the pool and even if no one ever uses an A7 again, the bad luck they brought cannot be erased or lessened.  Tongue

I see the problem here, The blocks won't be handed down to us  because Phil's meal was missing two key ingredients.

a = ? apple
i  = ? ice cubes in drink?
s = sage, salt
i  = ? another ice cube in drink
c =  Chicken, cherries

Phil's must of used ice cubes in his drinks as it's another hot one tonight.
Phil if you can add an apple to your meal tonight then blocks will fall

A = almonds
i  = ice cubes as I just polished off a very stiff vanilla vodka and tonic
s  = sage
i  = a second ice cube
s = salt

so  I guess we will be smacking about blocks all night long Grin Grin

thank god for my gpus'  still pulling in some coin with them.

Yeah that's all well and good but where the fuck is our next block?

well  a long mean terrible count can happen

13,000,000,000,000  + is not  that  bad

below is lifted from a block made elsewhere on July 1st

16,222,898,491,003      319.506%         0.959   the .959  means a 1 in 20 chance

We have not had a block as bad as 320%  so we are due
I blame Philip for taunting the odds gods. Also blame anyone who didn't plant, kill or drink something. Let's get this block behind us already. Best I have to offer the block gods is some Flying Dog-Snake Dog IPA and a bit of Grand Daddy Purple. I hope it pleases them  Cheesy

Nothing fancy tonight...
Beef tacos (with American trimmings) and pina coladas from a mix!

I roasted an eight pound chicken (wrong pool  but it is what I roasted)  for 6 hours  at lower temps.

Stuffed many fresh basil leaves under the skin some pink sea salt and some sage rubbed on the skin.

I ate 1 drumstick 1 thigh 1 wing wife did the same

We will finish it on Tuesday.

 California mix of cauliflower and  Broccoli  topped with dry roasted almonds and pecans

Fresh cherries  for dessert.

Just  filtered water tonight for my drink.

That's just ridiculous... It was bad enough when they kept flagging cgminer as a fucking trojan.

No shit, the exact logged error was "( name-of-threatid eq 'Suspicious DNS Query (generic:pool.ckpool.org)' )" Odd they didn't flag the depool.ckpool.org entry too. At least doing a bypass was easy, but annoying. It flagged it in the Spyware category.

Thanks! It seems a recent Palo Alto Networks threatID update was blocking it, I had logging off so I wasn't seeing it
