WTF is going on? I found two blocks, they were valid, and on my primecoin wallet there is no XPM...

I was monitoring my screen, saw the Primecoin qt wallet showing the "Primecoin MINE received", the XPM were credited to my wallet and 5 seconds later the whole transacction including ID dissapeared... on CLAYMORE miner is showing 2 valid/ total block found

WTF???

My Primecoin wallet have 8 connections.... i have the port 9911 (Primecoin port) opened and forwarded on my router and on windows firewall, still i cant get more connections....

Is the low incoming connection to my Primecoin wallet client the problem? Are this orphaned blocks or what?

@mafostedu I had the same problem with the Sapphire R9 290 (Non-X) throttling.  I had to mod the bios and increase the power limit to 50%.  Look at your reported core clock and I bet it is not holding your specified value.  I have three R9 290 (Non-X) running at +50% power limit and core of 1150 MHz with no problems for a few weeks now.

With which version of BIOS ? What's your Estimated CPD with 1150 core ?

May be the above scenario indicates that it has something to do with multiple cards mining at the same time !
Claymore can you check this out or give some solution ?

One of my rigs has i5 4430 and 4 290X, for best performance I use "-ss 2" for this rig, try it. Anyway, you have 8.8 CPD per 290 card, it's ok.

try reinstalling the drivers if it still happens try 14.4 drivers  but first use the amd uninstall utility to wipe the old

I did the same thing 2 weeks back & upgraded 2 of my rigs OS to fresh Win 8.1 Pro from Win 7 Pro
I first installed the catalyst 14.4 driver to test some other miners (different algo) but then switched back to Claymore's XPM Miner.
I experienced the same throttling with that & about 10-15% drop in mining so I used that AMD uninstall utility & installed 13.12.

Today I tested something else, I removed all my GPUs from one rig first,
Then switched on the mining with only one card directly attached to M.B. 16x slot & it was running very smooth for more than 6 hours (look at the screen shot)
Then I attached one more card to the M.B. another 16x slot & both cards started throttling again ! (I forgot to take screen shot at that time)
Now all 4 cards are mining but with the same throttling.

Please look at the screen, I have 4 rigs of 4x 290 cards each & all of them have same GPU throttling all the time !
What could be the reason behind this ?

My setup for all 4 rigs is as follows,

Mother Board : Intel DZ87KLT-75K
Processor : i5 4670 (non-K)
RAM : Corsair 1x 8 GB 1600 MHz
Miner : Claymore XPM Miner v 10.1
GPUs : 4x 290 (Non-X) Sapphire Tri-x OC (1000/1250) with AMD Catalyst 13.12 installed on Win 8.1 Pro./Win 7 Pro.
PSU : 1x Cooler Master 1500 W (Silent Pro Gold)

All GPUs are running at less than 70 degrees Celsius with A.C. on in a server room.

Looking at the mining performance it seems pretty much alright the only concern is that throttling.
I experienced this after version 4 or 5 (Don't remember exactly)

I was having this problem , try with -ss 2 or -ss 3

apart from that i have a problem too
i started mining solo yesterday and i have total/valid 4/4 but the wallet is showing only 3 blocks mined what that mean ??

I had one card that was low output and throttling that was helped by that.  It is why I suggested it.

try to increase power limit % in afterburner.

I tested it with increment of 5 till 20% but the picture remains the same !

Raise it up higher.  It doesn't increase voltage.  It allows more power draw under load. You could raise it all the way up for a short time and it will not do any harm if your voltages and clocks are not extreme.

changing that will have no effect on his problem

we are getting to the all time low of 0.00075.
https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/btce/xpmbtc
anyone knows what is happening?

all the coins that re mined are been exchanged out, leaving no demand for the excess XPM coin that were mined. In simple terms, there is too much primecoin floating arround without use and therefore the value will keep decreasing cause nobody want it

I guess it's due to GPU mining XPM. It's "easy" to get XPM now, a lot of miners dump their coins and buy BTC or cashout to fiat. And ther's not enough buying interest.
