how does mining other algo/coin help decentralize? on another note claymore had a good opportunity to do that and has it even now to keep xpm decentralized by focusing on solo mining but chose not to. i guess it's hard to resist when it rains money from continuous stream of 10% income...  Cheesy

just trying to help, thats all. no SPAM, im trying to help others to look at the best profitable mining, not just to stick with one algo or coin, otherwise it will be centralized...

sorry to mess arround, but CureCoin mining is way more profitable than Primecoin mining.

it consumes same power as X11  (cool n quiet fans) and im earning 0.013BTC/day per singler R9 280x

Just look out for Folding@home project, its way more profitable right now

280X just about 4,5 CURE/Day * 0,001BTC = 0.0045BTC/day per single R9 280x

im earning 8 - 10 CURE/Day per R9 280x = 0.0088 - 0.011 BTC/day

I'm working on further improvements, in 1-2 versions the miner will reach 10 CPD.

In your opinion - what is the maximum possible performance for 280x. In other words where is the limit Smiley

I don't know where is the limit, but I'm going to find it Smiley

I don't know how it's possible but my "block yield in coins" decreased by more than 40% in YPool since I changed the version from 9.1 to 10.0.

Does anyone have that problem too?

I tested v10 for two days on a few rigs based on 290X cards, also I checked it on 280X and 270X for a day. So I don't think it is a problem of the miner.

It's obvious. Sky's the limit.

v10.0 is available:

- Improved speed by about 9-10% for all cards. Up to 8.8 CPD on 290X.

Went solo a week ago. 37 blocks, 1 orphaned. Number of found blocks per day fluctuates like crazy. Could be 6 blocks, could be 1. You really need to have some faith.

What's your setup?

3 rigs (9x7970 + 6x7950), primecoind on linux server, claymore miner 9.1 solo.

Cool, still profitable with your setup. I only have 2 cards mining XPM at the moment and with another miner at the moment.

2Claymore: is there  chance of good speedup of "slow" cards, like 270x-7870 - they show 1/2 of 290x speed at other algo's and less in XPM

270X has 20 computing units, 290X has 44 of them. So 270X is always in 2.2 times slower than 290X. Also 270X has less memory bandwidth and much less speed in double precision calculations. In latest version 270X has about 3.5 CPD, x2.2 = 7.7, 290X has about 8.0 cpd, so the miner shows good results on 270X.

where do you look to see if it was orpahned or not? Im asking cause i want to know how can i look on my solo mining rig

Miner displays number of "Total/Valid blocks". Total - Valid = Orphaned I guess. A copy goes to miner's log file.
