Is it just me or it completely hogs up the system; you cannot do stuff while it's mining.

Are you considering an nvidia version?

No, only AMD.

Hey Claymore, any chance you can get this working for AMD Radeon HD 5800 Series?
Or is it not worth it?

I don't have 5xxx cards, but these cards are too weak, it's senseless to try to make it work there.

Most claims about license are always from people who even did not check anything...
Yeah I respect licenses. I use parts of SimpleMiner from Monero sources for communications with pool. Also I use original PoW algo of CryptoNight Smiley That is all. Monero sources are licensed under MIT license, please read it:  http://opensource.org/licenses/mit-license.php
Ya, don't mind me on this one. I deleted my post quite promptly for a reason (before any replies were actually posted yet) - some reversing suggested GPL licenced code, but I decided I didn't have enough evidence to make the claim of licence infringment yet.

A few ninjas obviously had replies started almost immediately after I posted.  I am far from being a troll tho, just jumped the gun slightly here and I appologize to Claymore for that.

Only getting about 100 h/s on pitcairn chipset here (7850). Can anyone confirm they're getting 220 h/s with 270?

This program appears to encorporate open source licenced code... do you plan on releasing source code, or are you okay with being sued for every penny you make off the project?

Violating open source licenses is seriously uncool.

It "appears" you have no substantial proof for your claim.

Back it up, troll.

That's a fairly vague accusation.  Can you back it up with more detail?

Also, there are many types of open-source licenses;  BSD/MIT-style licenses do not require redistribution of the source code, only an appropriate statement in the copyright notice.  GPL-style licenses do.

For example, the Cryptonote (monero, etc.) sources are all under an MIT/X11 license, which is very permissive:

  http://www.opensource.org/licenses/mit-license.php

In contrast, the sources for cpuminer/cpuminer-multi are under the GPL:

I duno if this is a good thing or bad :/

I get like 650h/s solo mining on an EC2 c3.8xlarge slice, so I would say the gap is far from closed between CPU and GPU miners.

About how much does that large slice cost a month? IYDMMA...

http://ec2pricing.iconara.info/#!/us-east-1?sort=api_name:desc&os=linux&period=hourly

Spot price is sitting at around $0.257/hour now, so about $187/month.

Mining at a loss?

At 650H/s you should get 3.12 XMR/day = 96.72 XMR/mo = $182.32/mo. So basically break even at current prices.

where do you get this info?

just see the calculator

I'm getting 1280h/s from 3x7970(1085/1500) + 1x7950(1085/1500). Not bad!
