It looks like my fault is that I always RTFM (in this case, the README!!!.txt for the miner) :-)

- the examples for ethpool/ethermine do NOT show how to use rig name;
- the example for Dwarfpool does NOT show how to use rig name, but says 'you can also specify "-eworker YourWorkerName" option' - exactly that I did and that does not work.

So for both ethermine and dwarfpool the -eworker option does not work as expected. I would recommend you either update examples with rig names, or add a note that -eworker might not work, and in that case makes sense to use pool-recommended format with dot or slash for the rig name. Since no source available, it is not obvious if wallet name should/may be concatenated with other URL options like rig or password, because there are options for them and maybe there are same in the stratum protocol variations.

In my experience, they'll usually work if both outlets go through the same circuit breaker box. You may not get streaming-video speeds, but for mining, you'll probably be fine. I recommend getting a cheap one from someplace that takes returns, though, just in case.

U may test that both sockets that u will use, sit on same phase. So take multimeter and extension cord and measure all combinations and make sure u dont read 400V (or 200V in mickeyland). Tried it between two buildings and wasnt stable enough, but from one room to other no problem.

Beautiful!!! I didn't know such a product existed!  Yes, I think this is exactly what I want.  The apartment I'm in is in a bit older of a building though...buildt in something like the 60's I think.  Is there any way to test before I buy a powerline ethernet adapter?

Ok, thanks all for your inputs, it's really really appreciated.  It seems everyone gets varying results as far as how many GPUs can be connected to a PSU.  The 2 1000W I have are EVGA Supernova's, brand new.  So I'm guessing that's not my problem.  What I didn't take into account though is how much extra power draw comes from dual mining.

My original config was MB + 2x 280x + 1 390x on primary PSU, then the remaining 3 390x on the 2nd PSU.  But, 2nd PSU was getting very hot, and eventually one (or more) of the cards would overheat and all shut down.  So, I've ordered a Kill-A-Watt to measure and compare so I can be sure.  Mind you, my MB (H81 PRO BTC) has 2x 4-pin molex adapters on the board which I have plugged in from the primary PSU as well, so maybe that affects power draw from 1st PSU as well....

As for networking, I live in downtown city apartment, and my cable/router is my bedroom because that's the only spot I have a cable to connect the modem to.  So, a wired ethernet connection isn't an option I need to do this wirelessly as my wife won't let me have a loud/hot rig sitting on my dresser in the bedroom, not an ethernet cable running through the damn house  

For now, I've unplugged the 2 280x's and am happily hashing away with the 4 cards.  I'll post back my results and config once I have all 6 running flawlessly!

As with the case of ethermine I suspect that the miner has some issues with command line parsing. At least for ethermine the shares reports depend on the command line args order. So I suspect the same is with -esm 0.

To be precise, here is the command line which does NOT report hashrate to dwarfpool:

should your miner report "Sent hashrate" to DwarfPool in ESM=0 mode? I see no reported hashrate, but eth-proxy with ethminer report this.

I used the linux version of the miner and ran it the whole night in dual mode. While I managed to earn some ETH without issue, however, I don't see any DCR earnings.

How long does it take to show transactions in the mining pool? I used supernova and ccminer, both showed no transaction. My mining logs show that I am authenticated and submitting shares.

Any idea why?

For the best performance , how must be -ethi  parameter?
I tray maximum 29 , miner working normally, but pool "nanopool" dont check nothing.
If i set -ethi -8126  mh/s decreases very match.
I dont know - what value is the best for that parameter.

And one more question: why nanopool.org  graph "Reported hashrate" stand to zero. Share is accepted but reported hashrate is zero.
On another ethereum miner that is the very bad - dont mine nothing.

when I sit in front of the rig, log in and run the miner. No problem. (Windows 10)

when I remote desktop to Windows, the dual miner does not detect the gpus, only detects one of them.

What can I do to fix this.

you are saying 650w psu can't run a 280x?..I have a 600w psu and it can power a 280x

check your psu 12v rail, some models have two 12v rails use them both by using a molex or sata adaptor and PCIE to power your GPU
