I have a problem with my rigs, workfine but later when I go to check miner is closed.

After working for a while it closes for no apparent reason, without showing any error, simply the process disappears.

I'm only getting about 270H/s on a 290, is that unusual?

If you have reference card take a look at:
http://www.overclock.net/t/1564219/modded-r9-390x-bios-for-r9-290-290x-updated-02-16-2016

1000/1250 335-340H/s

if anyone has a reference 290x remove the plate that screws into the computer so it lets the air flow much better. I achieved minus 4 degrees at 80C with 10% less on the fan at 71%

AMD VEGA running 970 sol at 100watt, damn Huh

nano on new driver for windows running 4% better on optiminer 1.4.0

AMD VEGA!!! You kidding right?

also my first thought. but there is actually a functioning sample. the question is who would be able to get it to test on mining software Cheesy

I doubt it, unless I see some screens/pictures, I think there are no drivers ready for Vega yet.

A working Vega has been demonstrated but I very much doubt anyone has got their hands on it to use for Claymore

Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner.
=========================
-asm   try faster assembler algorithm implementation when possible, it is less compatible but faster. Specify "-asm 0" to disable this option.
   You can also specify values for every card, for example "-asm 0,1,0". Default value is "1".
   Assembler implementation is available for some cards only, miner displays "algorithm ASM" when it is available.

Does rx470 support it? cause when miner starts i dont see miner displaying "algorithm ASM" and asm is set to 1

Hello Claymore, we are releasing new ethOS version soon. At the time of release, we will include the fastest linux miner available. If it is Optiminer, it will be Optiminer. If it is Claymore, it will be Claymore.

We have 5000+ rigs on ethos, that means your mining fee will be the equivalent of 100 rigs. Will you release linux version soon? The choice is yours.

No need to pressure Claymore

You can put Opti for now and when Clay releases v11.1 on linux you can add it then on ethOS

Users can then have both miners and choose whichever suits them?

Just a thought

Has established 11.1 writes a mistake on 3 x R9 290:

-asm 1,0,1 set

GPU #1 error but work!

GPU #1 is going to use too high intensity 8, not enough memory, intensity value reduced (7)
GPU #1 algorithm 1, intensity 7

I have 6Gb ROM and virtual mamory 16Gb

Problems?

Nice

R9 280X finally broke the 300 H/S barrier with 11.1

Great WORK!!!

Hi adaseb, could please share what settings are you using for getting such high hash. I am only getting 250-260 on my 280x.
Thanks

Stock settings, bios memory straps are tweaked. Hynix memory type.

And maybe you could share how much power (watt) it needs with v11.1?
Regards

I'm too lazy to turn off the rig and plug in the KillAWatt meter since there is a new version almost every week. Either way it uses alot of power. I think with version 8.0 or 9.0 it used 1 H/S = 1 Watt. The GPUs were also slightly undervolted.

Pretty sure its much higher now.

My 280x's are at 165-170watts at 270h/s tdp lowered at 150w +20% powertune. 975/1500 some are at 1.0V. Also modded memory straps. also reached 300h/s at stock but a lot hotter.  Smiley

11.0 --> 11.1
6x RX470/8 = 1470 --> 1510
i.e. 6-7 sols per card = ~+2.5%
