sometimes when i touch my cards it reboots. I think the miner does it when something is not well connected. Did u try to put this in your config file?

"-r -1"  It will disable reboot mode
It seems like turning the fan speed up was the most stable.
But i'll try -r -1.
Thanks again.

Edit: Crashed with -r -1 on normal settings.

Super stable with fan speed at 65%...

Install MSI Afterburner and set custom fan curves, I found a few of my gpu's were crashing also at anywhere from 75-80 above.. this should fix most of your crashes I think

I've found that it reboots and then the other card isn't detected...

check the power cable and riser

you have a hardware problem

check your riser

Triple checked it, everything looks fine. Rebooting it works. But it still reboots unwanted.

Need help with setting fan speed.

Here is the problem I am having.  If I use MSI Afterburner software to set fanspeed on all cards to 50% then it works fine.
However when I use start.bat with "-tt -50" the computer freezes and has to be manually reset.  I have 6 RX480 cards 8GB with different versions of the cards, some sapphire, some msi, some powercooler.

Any suggestions?

thanks!

do you have a monitor connected to gpu0
Yes. It goes black.
I plugged in a Kill A Watt meter, the PSU is 650 watts, and it's only drawing 350 from the wall mining zcash.
make sure that in power options you have set the hdd to never sleep

1 x sapphire r9 390 stock clock, stock bios, 63 degrees
~ 260 H/s

any advice how to raise that number?
Also I have no way to measure my wattage, can anyone tell me approx. consumption?

Is your electricity free? Who pays for it? Every flat/house/office have power meter, where power companies get the readings from- you can note the numbers and calculate the consumption - you only need an eye, a finger, a watch, a paper and a pencil. Surely you have all of it Smiley))

FIXED IT!  Grin
My issue was that i had the PCI-e layout wrong!
(what was supposed to be GPU 0) was in the first 1X port
My Asrock motherboard detects
the FIRST GPU (0) AS THE FIRST ONE IN THE FIRST 16X slot!
I moved it around and it worked!

But now i face another issue, the PC reboots every little bit.
Not due to heat, but i think it's a Windows thing.

Thanks for all the help, guys!  Cheesy
power issue or riser
When i meant reboot, i mean the screen goes black and Teamviewer doesn't connect. But the rig is still on, fans spinning and all, no mining.

Actually, it just rebooted this time...

You have to activate Windows first. That resolved issues in my multi-gpu rig.

Just one card need monitor or dummy(hdmi->vha adapter as the card only have digital output)

you disabled problem is something of different problem

you may have to disable UPLS (low power mode that disables 2nd gpu when not in use), you can do so in MSI afterburner or amd options i think.  also disable crossfire.

I don't have the option for Crossfire, and "disable ULPS" is ticked in MSI AB.

It seems to be mining, but very slowly.

Edit: Both rigs are running win 10 x64, Crimson 16.6. I'll try installing 16.9.2.

Edit #2: Updating drivers didn't change anything.

You need to use DDU and install 15.12 or the newest drivers if you have 4 series cards, be careful though sometimes using DDU before installing the newest drivers can cause small issues with card performance on old gen cards.
