Hello.
First of all Claymore thx for such a nice miner.

Im running MSI RX480 4GB, stock bios, etc

Claymore v5
2x480 = 320W at wall = ~125h/s each

undervolted using those settings https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/best-efficiency-settings-for-radeon-rx-480-1543701
2x480 = 180W at wall = ~90 h/s each

With Claymore v6
undervolted
2x480 = 180W at wall = ~105 h/s each,
5x480 = 420W at wall

I have a question
I have expanded my rig with 3 more cards, 5x480
Im using Enermax Platimax 1500W, It has 4x30A rails for gpu's
Is it possible that with stock settings I'm not able to run 2 cards on 1 30A rail ?
Every time i run miner with stock settings on 5x480 , PSU reboots.
Undervolted is ok
I have been running 4x290 on this PSU back before, hot reference models, 1400W ;p
Thx!

Yes the weak rail may feed the mobo and pice.

So with 290 the power is from pice not mobos.

But rx 480 are hard on mobo

Even with h81mobo and powered risers?

v6.0:

- improved speed by about 20-25% (depends on card model). About 180H/s on stock 390.
- "-i" parameter values are 0...4 now, default value is "-i 4".
- fixed issue with mixed cards.

Claymore,

Suggestion. Can you add a combined folder with ETH miner and Zcash miner and add a switch in the Remote manager? So we can switch from ETH to Z-cash miner and back and forth quickly.

Thank you so much for your amazing work.
If switch happens , I dont mind paying 2.5% for both ETH and Zcash mining. Great work

I'd like to second this request.

Why not go a little further Claymore? bundle both miners into same package, use API to check profitability hourly and switch algo to always mine the most profitable coin (between Ethash and Equihash), must like the Nicehash miner which makes sense but its crap under the hood. We would all spend a lot less time managing miners and switching pools, coins and algo's.........

Stock 295x2, -i 4, 1100/1500, 320 H/s
Stock Nitro 470 8G, -i 4, 1350/2100, 155 H/s

In the 295x2, your running 1100 clock, 1500 mem and how about power limit? I have same card and getting 290ish.

0%. Haven't touched power limit. I use TRIXX to overclock. This is on Win7 x64 Ultimate, Crimson 16.10.1 if that helps. Temps are 70C and 67C, ambient 26C.

Maybe your card is throttling? How's your temps?

Temps not an issue, with ETH I was at 71-72, with ZEC its much better at 59-63. throttle does not kick in till 74. Same win7x64 ultimate, same 16.10.1. Using the default AMD setting to OC. What CPU, RAM and MB are you using? I have rigs with low-end Celeron and others with better MB's and AMD 6300 CPU. Several flavors of each

This is my work PC, not a dedicated rig. Small form factor Dell Optiplex 7010 (Ivy Bridge Q77 chipset), i7-3770 @ 3.4GHz, 2 x 4GB RAM dual channel PC3-12800 (800MHz) Kingston. It had two empty PCI-E slots, so I decided to stick two risers and run two cards (470 and 295). I might replace the 470 with another 295 if I find one, or a Fury or Nano to maximize hash. Free electricity. I power the two cards using a Corsair RM1000x on the side. I tried using a 3 way PCI-E x1 splitter to run more cards, but the PC wouldn't recognize the cards. I'm also mining the CPU using Kost's nheqminer (AVX) with 6 threads (~20 Sol/s), leaving me 2 threads for work stuff. While mining the CPU the clock boosts to 3.7GHz.

Have you played around with intensity? Maybe -i 4 could be overwhelming your setup?

Looks like my mem clock was defaulted back to 1250, once I changed that to 1500 I am now getting 320'ish per card. Looks like that was the issue, sometimes when the drivers crash, it all get set back to factory settings. Amateur move on my part, but really appreciate the help. Thanks,

Glad to hear, happy to help. Yeah, Radeon Settings will reset to factory clocks upon a crash. Had that happen to me a couple time.

Not many around here with 295 cards. I plan to try various core/mem clocks as I feel this card should be capable of higher hashrates. Be good to exchange results if you too plan to tweak some more. Any experience with BIOS modding?

I have 12 of these cards, all in 6 desktops and love them since they are quiet and can exhaust them via top and rear of towers. Basically I built a rig that has 2 of these (4 GPU's) and you can plug in anywhere and run, office, home etc. If anyone else saw a real open air rig like others build, they would call cops thinking its a bomb or something. So I think there is merit building them in fully enclosed cases that can run as normal desktops.

Anyone know what v6 is getting on Radeon 370s?

My four Pitcairns are all doing around 75h/s. 2 270, 2 270X. One of those is a 4GB card, the rest are 2GB. I run them at 1100/1500.

So according to ethman i see 12000 h/s on my rigs but on coinmine.pl zclassic pool i only see 10k never even seen the hashrate get close to what my rigs actually say

i did not have that issue on pool.mn , could it be a latency issue or is coinmine stealing hashes ?
Coinmine.pl for me is like all others... It fluctuates but rarely matches miner.  The worker info never matches the sol rate of the main screen.

If you are looking at the average hashing rate, then you might not be factoring in the Dev Fee time.

Now the money is free, and so the people will be
i got only 15% speed increase.
3x rx480 8gb.
is this normal?

tq,

No.

Short info, short answer.

thank you for your prompt answer

well this increase is 20-25%, depending on the card.  My 470/480 have gone from 125/135 to 145-155...so yeah its normal.  my 390s are up 25% though.

Sampled v6 on my rigs:

290x at 166-168 H/s - speechless!

R9-390 at 177-180 H/s - OMG!

RX 480 at 140-142 H/s - best improvement since v5.

R9-Nano at 191-194 H/s  - OMG x 100 !

Bravo Claymore!

Those are very nice speeds. Compliments to you and Sir Claymore !!

RX470 OC 4GB - 148h/s to 150h/s modded bios and sweet spot settings

The 290x is with Stilt BIOS.

The rig has 2 x 290 and 1 x 290x - all flashed with Stilt BIOS.

After I achieved my power savings, I didn't bother with speed settings and just let it rip.

Your 290x got Hynix? Can you try running at 1100/1475 and see your results?

let me TV in later and post results

unfortunately Elpida... but managed to increase clock to 1100 from 1000. For mem clock, rig rebooted at 1475 so remained at 1250.

Increased performance nevertheless...

I am sure I can tweak it further but this rig is my test/dev rig so I will keep it at stock Stilt and enjoy the power savings.

My main rigs are 390s, Nanos and 480s - will focus on them first and attain nirvana with v6, before Claymore gets crazy again with v7 !
