can someone share their 290x and 290 h/s on this v6 with or withour bios mods please? trying to work out if it's worth modding my card bios's

170 Sol/s with STILT BIOS for R9 290 at 1100/1450 Elpida mem.

which stilt are you running?

Probably based on one of these http://www.overclock.net/t/1561904/mlu-bios-builds-for-290x

Use "-i 4" when possible.

You did it again... Performance is through the roof!  Grin

I have noticed a 5% boost between -i 2 and -i 4 option.

Thank you! We all appreciate your work.

It seems that with this release

ETH POWER CONSUMPTION = ZEC Claymore V6 POWER CONSUMPTION

Hopefully I can undervolt most cards to like 900Mhz Engine Core and keep only the Memory clock high.

You will than lose a lot of hashrate since with the release of Optiminer core clocks do matter even more than memory clocks. I guess Claymore took that road too.

~ 115 per card on R9 290x
~ 114 per card on R9 280x
~ 113 per card on 7970
~ 154 per card RX 480

All stock settings Smiley

Thanks!

Ok so a round up

Optiminer:

Expected speed (stock card):

    R9 Nano: 185S/s
    R9 290: 140S/s
    RX 470: 130S/s

Claymore 6.0

R9 290: 137-149 s/s
RX 470:  130-135 s/s

So after the dev fee on claymore we have a tie, claymore has more features and more stable.

So I give the win to claymore

Use "-i 4" when possible.

Is it also possible on r9 280x?

Use "-i 4" when possible.

For some reason, my -i 3 gives me higher sol as compare to -i 4. Anybody have the same problem?

grteat work Claymore

Hey thanks!

Yeah I thought so. I thought I missed some new software tech..

Ok, so I'm getting best results on -i 4. GPU1 123H/s,  GPU2  116H/s.  Doesn't a bigger intesity, reflect as a bigger ''burden'' on GPU and therefor bigger watt consumption?

I might just leave my core clocks low , to keep the power savings , I undervolt with wattman as well so even though my hash rates are lower with under 1100 core clocks power savings are better , tough call.

just want to share my experience a little bit...

I did a little experiment... trial & error..
I use sapphire nitro rx 470 8gb samsung memory & rx 480 4gb hynx memory.. at first i set core clock 1300 and memclock 2200 with 1750 strap bios using polaris on my rx 470 8gb.. the result were good.. 120 to 135 h/s on both card..total 250 to 260 + h/s... but the rx 470 use much more power than the rx 480.. I had a hard time trying reducing the power consumption on my rx 470.. when use sapphire trix and lowering voltage.. yes the power decrease from about 103-105 on gpu-z to 95-98 watts... but after some time the computer freeze...then i had an idea to try to reduce the memclock and keep the core clock unchanged... I set 1300/2050 using polaris bios editor..flash it with atiwinflash.. reboot.. then run the claymore v5.0 again.. the hashrate don't change.. still around 120 - 135 h/s on both card.. but with this setting i can decrease the voltage and my computer not freeze... stable.... I think with zcash the secret is on the core clock.. more cclock.. more hash rate..

here's the screenshot: GPU 0 rx 470 8gb, GPU 1 RX 480 4GB (both are sapphire nitro)

here's the bios setting of my cards, maybe you may want to try it:

good info , i guess ill lower mem clock and raise core clock on my zcash miners , sucks though when i switch back to ETH i would have to modify all my cards again UGH !

You're the man Claymore! Here's what I get, -i 2 on all 3 rigs:

4x RX470 8GB : 542S/s
4x RX479 4GB : 491S/s
2x R390X 8GB : 339S/s

All this for 1250W @ Wall, so 0.89W/S!
