Here is our development update for today.

Lndr Updates
We have made updates to Lndr in preparation for the beta release, including nickname uniqueness contraints, transaction retries after failures when writing to Ethereum, dynamic gas usage based on current ethgasstation.info Gwei transfer prices, and various UX improvements.

Lndr initial beta testing has begun! If you are interested in testing please send an email to [email protected].

Current beta will record all debts in USD, with the next steps being Eth settlement of debts and adding additional currencies. Future updates will also include a design facelift and push notifications for pending transactions.

and submitted to the server, which sends them to the blockchain, retrying if necessary. This means that from the user's perspective, debt confirmation is instant.

One question: can a car dealer create a loan with bcpt to pay for the car? We have these two figures: Through a loan: The lender (creditor) delivers a sum of money (capital or principal) to the borrower (debtor) in exchange for the payment of an interest. The borrower contracts the obligation to repay (amortize) the borrowed capital within a certain period and to meet the corresponding interest charge.

I can think of many situations, specifically if the borrower does not return the loan that would happen to the creditor? Can we force you to sell your home in bcpt to return the loan?

Great question, thank you!

To answer it, it is important to restate that the Credit Protocol is a base platform that enables third parties to build dApps involving debts and credits. And yes, it is completely possible to build an application that has the described functionality on top of the Credit Protocol. This dApp will use BCPT as a license to the Credit Protocol Network.

Regarding enforcing the repayment of a debt - various dApps built on top of the Credit Protocol will have their own enforcement mechanisms, as the “Trust” and “Enforcement” are functions of those dApps themselves. It is up to these businesses and the laws governing them to come up with enforcement mechanisms for those cases when debts are not paid.

You can read more about the enforcement aspect of the Credit Protocol here:
https://announcements.blockmason.io/how-does-credit-protocol-deal-with-enforcing-debts/

I hope this helps!

Announcement: Gatecoin has announced its listing of the Blockmason's BCPT.

Gatecoin is a bitcoin and ethereum token exchange based in Hong Kong. It was founded in 2013 and has been influential in the crypto community since then. It was the first exchange in the world to list ethereum's token currency ether (ETH) in 2015, and then the first exchange to list ERC20 standard tokens.

Gatecoin has been vital to the development of decentralized applications on the blockchain and can be viewed as an authority on the most exciting innovations happening in the space.

On December 13 2017, Gatecoin listed the Blockmason Credit Protocol Token (BCPT) on its exchange. Gatecoin will support the purchase of BCPT with BTC and ETH.

BCPT enables owners to participate in the Credit Protocol, a system whereby debts and credits are secured and tracked on the Ethereum blockchain. With the purpose of democratizing the allocation of credit through permanently recorded debts and obligations, the Credit Protocol has a vast potential scope, and could be applied to many forms of debt tracking.

Blockmason is currently working on releasing its first app Lndr developed on top of the Credit Protocol, that will track debts and credits between friends and family. The team also advises other developers and owners of BCPT (which acts as a use license for the credit protocol) towards building their own consumer and commercial-driven applications on top of the Credit Protocol.

Blockmason is especially pleased to partner with Gatecoin - an exchange that is so dedicated to the evolution of blockchain technology and decentralized applications.

How the require transactions send to ethetereum network?
Do they send on fly or there will be a middle database?
Is it possible to send a list of transactions to contract and pay one gas for the bulk?

Great questions!

Transactions on the CP are sent to Ethereum directly. On Lndr we are sending them first to a server in the middle so that the app gets instant feedback, but people can confirm that the transaction went through correctly on the Ethereum blockchain once it processes.
Regarding your next question, we experimented with sending a list of transactions to contract and pay one gas for the bulk, and found that the gas savings weren't enough to justify it.

I hope this helps!

Wow. This coin is already in Binance and Kucoin. A low market cap coin with high potential and is currently only popular in the Asian market. Once this hits Bittrex and other Western exchanges this should be an easy 400% at least.

why do you need blockchain for this project?

Great question! In fact, we have written a post describing the reasons the Credit Protocol is developed on top of the Ethereum Blockchain, here is the link: https://announcements.blockmason.io/ethereum-and-the-network-effect/

I hope this helps!

Blockmason: Built To Last

Masonry, a millennia-old craft of buildings using bricks, is the foundation of today’s architecture. It was born when early humans’ desire to create and construct led them to branch away from caves and build homes out of stone. Since then, Masonry has allowed for such feats as the Egyptian pyramids, Stonehenge, the Parthenon, the Great Wall, and the Taj Mahal — all at one point were thought to be impossible structures.

Even though building reliable, beautiful and well-aligned structures out of hefty materials comes with inherent difficulties, stonemasons had a strong vision for a new type of architecture that speaks to power, reliability, and consistency, and the will and skills to turn it into reality. Thus, Masonry became the foundation of every structure that surrounds us today.

Similarly, Blockmason aims to become the foundation of the credit industry on the blockchain. The legacy of Blockmason is based on the most central tenets — laying the cornerstone of the new age by having a strong vision of what is possible, and developing platforms and systems that will change the landscape of the world as we know today. By leveraging smart contracts and enabling the development of the infinite number of applications built on the Ethereum Blockchain, Blockmason aims to increase the blockchain adoption for real, active, daily purposes.

Blockmason is the industry leader that is changing the face of the entire world, as a part of the historic moment where traditional systems are being replaced by the blockchain. It contributes to the robust new foundations of life, enabling the next wave of human progress. Blockmason creates a seamless network of infrastructure — the framework of life where we live, work, and play. We thank you for your support and invite you to join us on this incredible journey.

Thanks for update
I have two questions:
1- do you replace friends with parties?
2- could you add more about "wireframes for ethereum settlement"?

Thank you for your questions!
1. “Friends” and “Parties” mean the same thing in the context of Lndr
2. We are looking to add Ethereum settlement into the Beta release, and we have begun the process of architecting its solution prior to the development.

I hope this helps!

Here is our Lndr development update for today!

- Fixed conflicting pending transactions between the same parties to resolve before being stored on the blockchain.
- Put in features to handle network overload in CryptoKitties-like situations so that there is no loss of data or other user impacts.
- Set up push notifications on the client side, with server integration to be done the end of the week.
- Began wireframes for Ethereum settlement of debts between parties.
- Engaged a UI designer to improve the interface in preparation for a beta release.

Lndr Testing, North American Crypto Currency Conference & other updates.

Lndr App Testing: Overwhelming response!
A big thank you to our community members who reached out to us offering to test the app — we received dozens of applications, and a lot of interest from many of you, our supporters, including those who have a deep app testing experience. We’ve reached out to some of the applicants, and will be replying to more people towards the end of this week.

As for the technical functionality of Lndr — we are in the throes of wrestling a few little pesky bugs to the ground that were pointed out as part of the testing feedback. This will make the app more fun to use, as we are making minor updates to the look, feel, and ease of use before releasing Lndr more broadly.

Our developments and updates.
You might have noticed some design changes on the company website and social media channels, as one of the things we want to have with the community is the transparency of our internal development process. We are currently gathering and analyzing your feedback, and will be making official announcements about our branding updates soon. In addition, during the last month, the size of the Blockmason team has grown as we increase our internal development and capacity for tech development, marketing, design, and admin works. With that, we are experimenting with a variety of ways to reach you, interact with you, and present our announcements to you, including those about our in-progress and final developments. We welcome your feedback and support, as we continue to grow together.

Legal Considerations for Blockchain Innovations and ICOs.
We are excited about an upcoming event (http://bit.ly/2kpVizv) on December 8, which will cover the best practices in regards to SEC compliance for the blockchain and ICO companies. The panel will address how founders can start new entities in this space with full respect for the law and compliance with a moving and evolving set of principles. In addition, the lead patent attorney for Blockmason will discuss the opportunities for intellectual property protection in such a new and dynamic space. The registration is now closed, but we will share the recording of the event at a future date.

Blockmason at the NAC3 — North American Crypto Currency Conference.

We are excited to announce that Blockmason’s co-founder Tim Galebach will be speaking at the North American Crypto Currency conference (www.nac3.io) this Saturday, December 9, where he will talk about Blockmason, the Credit Protocol, and Lndr — our consumer lending app developed on the blockchain. Tim’s speech will focus on how as we built Lndr, we built the libraries to develop mobile blockchain applications from the ground up which other developers can use in the future. The conference will be focused on discussing the latest Blockchain developments, security of cryptocurrency assets and government regulations of the space.

As always, we thank you for your support. We will be making more announcements as we have them, and invite you to join us in our mission of shaping and becoming the foundation of the credit industry on the blockchain.

I sent a request for participation in the testing, but there is no answer yet. I believe that the project has a future.

We have selected and rolled out Lndr to a number of testers, but unfortunately, due to a lot of interest and dozens of applications to test Lndr, it is impossible for us to reply to each email.
We are about to post an announcement about the testing and other updates, so stay tuned! Smiley

Glad to hear about progress in testing, as mentioned by blockmason, many issues belong to ui design, so normally this type of issues do not take more than a few days to be cleared.
Most interesting part for me is that first release of lndr will be a free, friendly app for mobile phones, look at how a simple cryptokitties game on ethereum could become favorite.
Maybe adding some gamification elements to ui could be wonderful.
I know that blockmasons have experience in art and adds, hope their design has enough interesting features.
