Anyone know about how much "interest" I would get on 1 Bitcoin?  I know it's not exact, of course, but a rough estimate is fine.  I'm trying to decide if I should invest $800+ into a single Bitcoin on Vircurex and sit on it awhile, or stick the money, I would invest into a Bitcoin, into my Credit Union Savings account @ 0.08% interest per quarter (every 3 months).

Quote from email sent to [email protected] on Jan 3,2014 , still no clarification received

Quote
I have used the bitcoin address - 1N3vYYZ7ZkWEZ52wZ98kMkdC7bhh6CtyR1
given by you, for donation purposes.

So, I checked directly
https://blockchain.info/address/1N3vYYZ7ZkWEZ52wZ98kMkdC7bhh6CtyR1

to find someone donated me on 27 december 2013,but all the amount had
already been withdrawn, without any history on vircurex .

Are you using internal addresses for transaction or vircurex is n't
secure any more ?

Why such discrepancy on gross level is happening ?

Are they still having problems?  I tried moving NMC funds and vircurex has the process stuck and won't assign a transaction ID.

So is this to generate revenue for Vircurex by scaring everyone into withdrawing?  Thereby creating withdrawal fee revenue for Vircurex?

No. I know they are having server upgrades now. But I cannot get Kumala on that email. it bounced.
I'll try Skype.

Vircurex always had quite high withdraw fees in the past. I wish they would lower it as well. Would attract more people to use the exchange I'm sure, but perhaps they already have a few too many as it is right now. Very reliable exchange for many years now though.

The withdraw fee on Vircurex used to be high but they have come down a lot. Currently I am quite alright with the withdraw fees of the major coins compared with other exchanges. Well maybe the BTC one can be cut in half..

here is an odd one.  I was sandboxing with alt-trading yesterday, and there is one namecoin withdraw that didn't get an TrxID after I withdrew:

the others worked fine.  I emailed them ~12 hrs ago / never used Vircurex before / anyone else ever have this issue?

Haven't personally experienced that.  As for customer service responses... Expect delays.  4-5 days before e-mailing them again.

Still not too happy about Cryptsy, but with Vircurex you can still save trade fees if you sign up via my referral code, next to the interest they pay. You won't be able to refer other users anymore, but since I opened my account years ago, you can still save fees when trading using an "old user". It doesn't say how much, but it used to be 10%. You will find my link to sign up in my signature.

On their page it says the following:

Referrals
Note: This feature is only available for users who have registered before 1st September 2013
Recommend Vircurex to others. Have them sign up using your personal referral code and allow them to get a discount on all their trading activities.

What a great place to advertise Vircurex... a Vircurex thread!

Oh boy I feel this vircurex used to be pretty good but the withdrawal fee bothered me too much.  I wish they would update it, they don't seem to have an interest in being responsive.

It's now day#16 since I reported that the API was still having issues. I have sent a reminder twice. No response, and the API is still broken.

Right now I'm also unable to place DVC/BTC orders on the website either - clicking on release reloads the page, but the order is still listed as unreleased.

Most problems with Vircurex seem to be fixed promptly. In this case, I am very disappointed at the lack of response and the amount of time that has lapsed so far.

Bummer, perhaps after holidays will be better?

Why is the withdrawal fee for bitcoins so high?

Because Bitcoin value has skyrocketed since the last time they lower it..
