I know A+C is busy.
I don't mean anything negative, but just to give a shout that I'm still here and waiting.
People tends to forget about people who are silent.  Wink

Also.....a few people with timestamp of 29th and 30th got their order shipped......

That is true! I messed up with the order when using 'data -> sort' in the OpenOffice spreadsheet...

 Undecided

However I will compensate anyone affected by this mistake. I will also refund the parcel cost not used to cover the re-shipment. I am learning how difficult is to estimate parcel costs and prepare international parcels to dispatch.

Keep tuned in, lads and lassies.

Augusto,

today I've received two units out of my five, see index 30 in your spreadsheet.

I don't want any compensation, apart from receiving my three remaining units. Smiley

Just a small tip for anyone having issues getting them detected by cgminer, I had to use version 3.1.1 and specify many -S /dev/ttyUSB0 arguments. I've got 4 mining away while I'm at work, will get all of them running at home tonight!
How do you specify those arguments?  Can you post your commands? With x'ed out user/pass of course.

I'm running on linux like this:
Code:
/opt/cgminer/bin/cgminer -o eu-stratum.btcguild.com:3333 -u DanBUK_1 -p XXXXX -S /dev/ttyUSB0 -S /dev/ttyUSB1 -S /dev/ttyUSB2 -S /dev/ttyUSB3 -S /dev/ttyUSB4 -S /dev/ttyUSB5 -S /dev/ttyUSB6 -S /dev/ttyUSB7 -S /dev/ttyUSB8 -S /dev/ttyUSB9

Dear Buyer,

An order for 80 Block Erupter USBs was placed with ASICMiner on 5th June 2013:

1334c0d9f132e53e896c2478ef2eb011403a38f73128208464cfb28663d2e891

This is the second batch of this Group Buy. The buyers who paid their pre-order up to 31st May 2013 are going to participate in the second batch, including buyers from the first batch with remaining Block Erupter USBs to receive.

Third Batch

To allow later buyers to participate in the group buy; a third batch is going to be ordered by 11th June 2013 (23:59 UTC).

The group buy is closed to payment by alternative methods. There is no liquidity at the moment to pay more orders with the outstanding funds.

Dispatch Mistakes

The first batch was completely dispatched to all buyers who paid before 27/05/2013 (23:59 UTC). However I made some mistakes and a few buyers which were supposedly to be part of the second batch are going to receive their pre-order in advance. This directly affects some buyers which are part of the first batch. To cover the loss caused by my mistakes I have developed a plan to compensate the affected buyers.

Compensation Plan

All buyers from the first batch who do not receive the original number of Block Erupter USBs pre-ordered are entitled to request compensation. I am going to cover the buyer’s investment loss with a refund based on the assumption that each missing Block Erupter USB was delivered. So after the pre-order containing missing Block Erupter USBs is delivered I am going to compensate the buyer based on the device’s mining capacity. The total amount to be paid is equal to the estimated amount produced per day multiplied by the number of days which the missing Block Erupter USBs could be working until its replacement is delivered. The compensation will be paid only when the buyer receives the missing Block Erupter USBs.

E.g.

A buyer received only 2 Block Erupter USBs on 07/06/2013. The buyer ordered 4 devices and is part of the first batch. The missing devices are only going to be delivered at a later date. This buyer is entitled to receive 0.02165618 BTC (0.01082809 * 2) per day after 07/06/2013. The compensation will last up to the date that the buyer receives the missing Block Erupter USBs.

The affected buyers are also free of any additional expenses required to ship the missing Block Erupter USBs.

Parcel Refund

Once the group buy is closed all buyers are going to receive a refund from parcel costs which were not expended to deliver the devices. Each buyer will receive a newsletter specifying the available amount for refund and how to proceed to receive a refund.

Buyers which required fast delivery and did not receive the parcel in the expected time could claim a refund from the Parcelforce company. To claim the refund it is necessary to present proof the parcel was not available for collection up the promised delivery date. This is necessary to accelerate the process of refunding. Any buyer wishing to claim the refund must contact me by electronic message to start the request.

Time Estimations

I expect  to start dispatching the Block Erupter USBs from the second batch by 10th June 2013 and the Block Erupter USBs of the third batch by 13th June 2013.

All buyers should have their pre-orders delivered by 19th June 2013.

From what I understand 3.1.1 is cgminer --icarus-options 115200:1:1 --icarus-timing 3.0=100 -S /dev/ttyUSB0 -S /dev/ttyUSB1 ... for Linux and cgminer-nogpu --icarus-options 115200:1:1 --icarus-timing 3.0=100 -S \\.\COM1 -S \\.\COM2 ... for Windows. But you need to install drivers first in win and do some compiling in linux...

I just checked the Trader's Book. What's up with the partial quantities shipped for some June 5 and June 6 shipments?

By the way, I paid for the second batch: 80 units ordered. The remaining paid units I will order up to next Monday. So this is the last chance for the late buyers participate in the group buy. The third batch is the last I am going to trade for this group buy!

Augusto

Does this mean only timestamps until 31-May-2013 are gonna be covered by the 80 in the second batch order with other paid up orders likely to miss out for a couple of weeks more before delivery?

FWIW, I believe that those who paid by BTC should be included in the second batch as I'm presuming your limitation to 80 units for the second batch is possibly due to you not having enough BTC to cover all paid orders as of 03-Jun-2013..

Thankful if you could clarify when you get a chance..
I don't think this is the case. He refused Paypal orders when he didn't have enough BTC. I think it was just waiting for conformation from ASIC miner... And it was just a case of 80 units ordered till 31...

EDIT:
A+C has to enter you manually into the traders book. Some time after 11 hours A+C will send you an invoice with address to send BTC. Once you pay though you can track the sale in the trader book.

Also A+C, are you taking Paypal? I'd possibly like to get in on another 10.

I have low BTC liquidity at the moment to accept Paypal payment.

i'm guessing batch #2 has been ordered? Smiley

I am waiting Friedcat confirm he is ready to receive the order. I am going to request the second batch at any moment.

any news on the second batch?

I will order this weekend and ask Friedcat to dispatch Monday!

Received a shipping notice today. They are in transit to USA. Next day shipping. I have several from other group buy that are hashing right at 335-336 MH/s. Minimal hardware errors averaging 1% or so with a small breeze from fan in a room at 77 degrees F. Will move to cooler room at 68 degrees F in basement to see if any change in errors. I am very impressed with the performance of these to date.

I have them mining.  Thanks for running the GB GB A+C!  Grin

What mining program do you recommend? What's the hash rate?

Myrdd

BitMinter's client works as well.  You might need to "probe all ports" to find them.  It is going over by 2x on the hash rate though:

Thanks A+C for excellent administration of group buy, and thanks Bob for link to easy walkthrough setup for an ASIC newbie!

Myrdd

Not my page, I just found it.  I also found out that the --icarus-search option doesn't work, so you need to list your com ports

HW errors? Cooling helps?

Not sure if the cooling is helping, but there are some HW errors

I have had some "comms errors" and the devices go to an "OFF" state.  I set CGWatcher to reset it if the has rate drops (It stays fairly constant at 333-334 per stick), but it hasn't happened since.  I had to upgrade my CGWatcher too - the older version has a hash rate of 0 if you turn off the GPU, but the average is correct.  The later version seems to substitute the "average" to fill in for the lack of a "current" value.
