So the cube works at low clock setting at 27-28 GHS for me. I want to move the cube out of wired router connection now. Any links will be helpful to follow right directions for the same.

I don't understand the question?

You want to move the cube out of a wired router connection to what?

Do your cubes work on high clock settings?
My cube was at low clock setting. I had it connected to my router using Ethernet cable to get started. I got 26-28 GHS, sometimes 20-25ghs. Can I move it away from the router and just connect to my computer to make it work?

you need to be hardwired to the net and do you have a 1000 or a 100 ethernet connection?

those are switches.  most homes are

router-----switch     so the router needs to be 1000 speed as does the switch
I have a cable modem from time warner. Use a normal wireless router on top. like a $20-$30 range router. So, this won't work?

The cube needs to be connected directly via a wired Ethernet cable.  If you are interested in buying one, a cheap ethernet switch would work.  You would connect the switch to the cable modem, then the wireless router to the switch along side the Ethernet connection to the Cube.

No, it needs to be plugged into ethernet.  The usb is only for upgrades.  The rates seem low though.  Was that at the pool or what the web interface was showing?  I don't know if anyone has had success with wireless or not.
At the pool is never went over 25ghs. On web interface it was showing 25-28 ghs. At one point it was close to 30 too I think.
Well , I just wanted to keep it away from my living room where I kept my modem/router. I wish I could connect the cube to computer and mine, just like other mining devices.

Thanks for the photos.

Do you have a link for that PSU plug?  My paperclips just don't look good.
  yes ebay seller

http://www.ebay.com/itm/261237555407?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

my psu did not need the resistor some do some don't.  I just snipped the resistor out.  I can use it in another place.
Why do u need this plug? Shouldn't the PSU turn on when you plug the cube to it?

no .     if you have a standalone psu it needs to think it is attached to a motherboard and that you pressed the on switch.   that is what the plug does.

this is true of many psu.  but as I found out my highest quality psu's  my platinum seasonics  did not work even with the tricky little plug attached.

the cheaper quality "everest 85plus 800" was great  with the cheater plug

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817104084

I had buyers waiting on these four cubes and since the post office was 2 days late I did not try every psu I have on them. I will test the next set I get more thoroughly.

yes buy an external fan like this

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009OWRMZ6/ref=s9_simh_gw_p60_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=11281RHPP98P0XWTJ15V&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1630083502&pf_rd_i=507846

dismount the internal fan.  mount this externally and this will blow 2x the air.

or leave the internal fan in
place and add the one above.

or stack 4 cubes into a square and mount this against them

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Jarden-Home-Environment-Holmes-20-Inch-Portable-Color-Box-Fan-Pink-/350822561797?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51aea77805

just a fast google and you could find one for under 20 bucks.

Mine won't start without a 3 pin fan attached internally?  I just figured it was a safety feature.  I tried to put 110CFM delta fans inside but they are 2 pin.
I  found out it is picky about the internal fan. hates noctua   has to have a 3 pin fan.   so far this one is best.

http://www.amazon.com/Coolink-120mm-1200RPM-18-2dba-SWiF2-1201/dp/B002IG5HJ8/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1387690947&sr=1-4&keywords=coolink+swif2

  runs quiet .

I put this on the outside of the 4 I have

http://www.lowes.com/pd_95021-1621-3733_0__?productId=1114391&Ntt=20+inch+fan&pl=1¤tURL=%3FNtt%3D20%2Binch%2Bfan&facetInfo=

end of story dead cool  set the electric on low. quiet and the yellow fans look pretty.

pretty much hit or miss on the 3 pin fans.  do not use a noctua  it buzzs like a bee when you power down.  I sold all four that I ordered.  I am going to order 2 or 3  more on sunday.

for photos
every cube sent had one or more misaligned boards
use  a roll of paper towels and some antistatic bubble wrap to push the boards out
Thanks for the pics philip.
Du u have a link to a cheap PSU I can quickly get from best buy or any other B&M store?
What's this plug you are using? What is it for?

plug tricks the psu into turning on.   I do not know what power supply to tell you to use.  I do know now that  none  of my seasonics would work.

Used different kind of power supplies and finally get two to work.

Corsair CX430M -No
Corsair HX750 - No
Seasonic X-1050 - No
Thermaltake TR2-700 - Yes
Corsair GS800 - Yes

Good info, thanks!

How loud is the Thermaltake?

I am using Raidmax on blades because they have the fan boost button which I leave off and they work perfectly and are virtually silent. However they don't make anything strong enough for cubes with the button available.

I can't really hear anything from the power supply since the fan in the Cube is so loud. But I tried to lean closer to the power supply, it is fairly silent for me.

Finally, after all the setup hassle, got my Cube up and running at 38GHs High clock with 98% efficiency.
Surprisingly mine arrived without any loose part or X's chip.

Corsair CX430M -No
Corsair HX750 - No
Seasonic X-1050 - No
Thermaltake TR2-700 - Yes
Corsair GS800 - Yes

Anyway, does anyone successfully run it with bfgminer or raspberry pi?

Yes, just set bfgminer up as the proxy on your pi and point the cubes to the pi. Worked just fine for me using Minepeon on the Pi and adding this to the box in settings > miner startup settings>

#!/bin/bash
/usr/bin/screen -dmS miner /opt/minepeon/bin/bfgminer --http-port 8337 --net-delay -S all -c /opt/minepeon/etc/miner.conf

This has worked for me but I have only had the chance to try with 3x cubes at one time.

Thank you. I will try it out.
