Any further projections on final cost?
I'd like to order more but want to make sure I have the funds.

I think it would be a safe bet that the final price would be below 0.55BTC even with the (relatively small) number of confirmed orders so far.
The bigger the order the lower the price. Ideally we would like to exceed 3000 devices so that we can get a reel of chips from Buzzdave at $30/chip (as opposed to zefir's at 0.27BTC). In this case our projections indicate a final price in the 0.40-0.43 range.

Is there a possibility to send them from the inside of the EU to get around customs ?
If you pay in btc I'm sure they can easily mark the package as cheap (usb's are cheap) and that should get around customs. or there would need to be 1 person in the EU to ship all too then that person ships to other eu people.Sounds like a reasonable good idea.

Well I think the orders will start rolling in once there is a proof of concept built and running. The avalon fiasco has made quite a few of people gun shy, most people are wanting to pay for product (post creation) and not the development of the product (pre-creation). As the saying goes "Build it and they will come".

Atleast the guys selling the Red Fury had a video of the device working. Not just a picture of a screwed up mobo.

Yes, the group is still open.
As for limits - we're still a bit far from the 3k goal, so no limit in sight for now. We are getting closer to exceeding the low-water mark, so we're almost certainly going to manufacture at least several hundred devices.

Yes, we will be shipping to Europe. We're also working on setting up a manufacturing point and distribution in Europe (to also cover for such orders).
Maybe you can join forces with marto74. He deals with EU customers and really proofed his skills with his hex board.
Would be good to see someone handy around. You just need to ensure that you can keep your low margin, otherwise the only incentive on this product which is reselling wont be possible.
Most of the people buying here are probably resellers, with extreme little margin.
