community and devs should be aware of this... if io.js take off it might be worth switching over nodecoin to the io.js framework as it seems to be more ethically aligned with the values of the bitcoin community and is also cross compatible so it shouldn't be a difficult switch. Ultimately this article just shows the strength of the foundation of this coin and makes me feel pretty good about this investment.

These posts only reference the name of this coin, hah, i don't think the name should be changed either. buuuut in the even of a node.js fork to io.js it seems reasonable to ask which side do we want to be on. I looks like its too soon to be picking sides as the fork hasn't even happened, right? It just seems like the 5 of 7 devs threatening to fork the project have our best interests in mind.

Not only name of coin.

TheRealSilk know about io.js
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

I mean there are other areas that require time and energy.

That's the whole point. - the bureaucracy is broke and those 5 devs want to fix it. They don't want the language centralized.

Like I said this isn't an urgent matter, as it is only threats at this point. Even if it does fork it seems NODE would be cross compatible with the io.js language. Regardless, it wont make or break the coin, but at some point in the future one language over the other would offer specific advantages (reason for fork). This isn't really an issue until (if and when) such a crossroad occurs. Even then its likely to be trivial. Only time will tell.

I was skeptical of Node when it was NXTL because there have been so many failure's copying NXT, but I have to say it's growth has been pretty impressive and consistent and is starting to take shape very nicely... If it continues like this I think the only thing missing is public awareness : hardly any of my associates in  the community have even heard of it... I suppose that is why the focus currently is Marketing and PR which is exactly what it needs ;]

Devs keep up your great work on node, this project is so interesting to watch. Will be really nice to see it fully developed in real time action in the future.
the dev is always  working hard to make node stable,
and the ,most importance is that it is free.

I'd suggest ignoring threedream. He just seems to be a less English-literate Taunsew.
I'm sure taunsew has a lot of sock puppets and three dream is one of them.

Sad life he lives if trolling is all he does, I'm sure were the only people he calls "friends" in his life even though he knows we don't like him.

Please shut up, I exist in the community early , There are a lot of good news about NodeCoin

Is the chart on: https://nxtforum.org/index.php?topic=4139.msg137513#msg137513
literal?

If so, how did you generate enough training data for a 2-5-1 NN that will have the desired output characteristics?
If not, and the number of hidden layers increases as you get more main nodes, what NN do you use? especially if there arent any that are precomputed?

I am assuming you are using the neural network to make routing decisions to find the fastest path. This is a cool idea, but I am not sure a 2-5-1 NN is anywhere near the capacity to handle all the real world scenarios.

James

James,
good question. Partly we've already answered it.

In fact, there is no any 2x5x1, the diagram only demonstrates the idea of the relationships within the kernel. Unfortunately, it does not reflect the interchangeability of nodes.

Today, according to our estimates with the current formula of the compound (with the current experimental coefficient) Node technology allows 10,000 leading nodes to keep a stable connection between themselves and with the 10,000,000 ordinary nodes at 10% load of bandwidth ang fivefold excess of network stability level.

Well, extending on James question. I sort of assumed that the architecture in the image is a reduced example drawing.

But of course, asking the obvious is neccessary to get details specified, so good that you did that.

I have another question: Are there any hidden recurrent layers, ie MEMORY ?

That would be extremely interesting!

And which training method does node use? Backpropagation? (sorry if it is mentioned somewhere else already, then just point me there)
