Brilliant yes, but many of them have succumbed to the nature of the clone coins.  All they care is that their coin gets in the top 10 market cap.

They could use their talents towards something better that would help all of alt crypto scene, but instead they rather beat a dead horse until it can't spit out any more BTC.

I have even seen some of them troll other coins to create panic by using their reputation so their coin can get more BTC in.

We have a great thing in NODE, don't let this discourage you.

I fully agree with you but there are some brilliant devs in that list.

I wouldn't take a simple JPG so seriously.

I used to run a bunch of these types of nominations back in the dot-com bubble, they didn't mean a lot except exposure for my website/project.

The sad part is that obvious P&D coins are being nominated just because the people behind them are trying to pump up the price more to dump it via one of these nominations.

The truth is as long as a new coin is still tied to the old BTC blockchain, there is really no innovation or improvement except a fancy new wallet that promises a lot but doesn't deliver.

Generation 2.0 crypto like NODE is trying to change the protocol of the blockchain (NODE has its own chain) and create a true whole new wave of tech, innovations, and improvements.

So don't take those nominations so seriously, in the end they are just created to pump the price of a favorite new clone coin.

We have great devs in NODE and we know it in this community.

i personally think it will be a lot more than 1k if devs deliever everything which they promised.

And great to buy at 40-55 satoshis Thx. There has been a little doubt about n*n which has been already perfectly solved.. and everyone got scared LOL... IT's like a bunch of guys in an apple store and the guy from samsung store in front yell "Dont know if it's good!" and everyone start panicking and running away. lol. Just got some NODE at 55-40 sat.. gonna resell at 1k satoshis in a short-medium periodof time thx.

Do not attach great importance to our internal jokes, especially as you correctly noticed chatter has never been our strong point - and frankly it's one of our undeniable weaknesses. Without jokes.

But if you'd like to turn your "funnymeter" on just for a moment, then I'm sure you will see that the talk was not about your competition at all, we talked about the overall situation in the crypto market.

In general I like your idea, it is quite effective and has attracted the attention of the community. A great advertising course, we have to learn from you

Hey mate. The nomination period was open for 2 weeks prior to the voting period. Many communities got involved and many developers were named such as koop4u. The disadvantage was that were not enough votes despite a great strong support. This is a reflection of community strength, developers dedicated work in keeping them together and producing work that is worthy of a acknowledgement. Gaia was listed because simply put, they have a strong community and aware enough to come through and make sure that their developer who has been working hard for them was listed for the voting round. All communities were open to do this and many even made their own forum posts and requests i.e Veri, Dr. Kimoto

Also, majority and if not every single one of those people listed have done some amazing work, do not try and discredit or dishonor that. Hope that you can make it for the next voting round in 6 months.

I'm surprised that there is still no Pump&DumpCoin and Cheatcoin on the market 'cause to be honest, 90% of the projects would have to compete for these titles on a separate contest like "Proof of Horror" or something like that

Marketing is the science of sales. Business uses marketing tools when it has completed product ready for the market, otherwise it's doomed to failure and its reputation will be ruined.

Bitcoin even today is still quite raw, and its weaknesses hit the entire market. This is one of the main causes of "drawdown" of the market to date btw.

The idea of Bitcoin was brilliant, but we all need to shape it up (nobody says "perfection" 'cause the path to it is endless )

So before you go to the market and offer the product you usually need first to put the project "on wheels" and then to attract venture funding.

But I will say it again: it can be done only when you have a complete (not perfect!) product "on wheels", which you can show to venture funds or talented "angels" like Richie Branson. However, if the product is truly "on the run" then usually it speaks for itself.
In our case the project is not entirely commercial so the business angel funding it from the beginning. In mid-November, Node project got yet another business angel   So now we have everything for fundamental work.

Marketing is just the next step, and it's pretty ridiculous to start a marketing campaign without the complete product and without adequate advertising budget.

You can certainly sell the damp air, "greed" or "the idea of a better future" as most of the guys on the market does but as I told before the reputation is the sort of thing which you are getting hard and long but loosing in one day and forever.

You don't need to have a PhD to know these things, it's just a basic knowledge of economics, but unfortunately the vast majority of the "project starters" as well as crypto investors doesn't have a clue what it is.

And it gives rise to bubbles and disappointments and unfortunately it harms the reputation of the technology in general.

OMG, missed  the big dumping,
hope another chance to get the cheap coins.

Marketing efforts does not seems to work at all.
I dont believe NODE will ever reach the targeted spot in CMC.
