I just opened my acc and forged a block right away)

Just wait till bter open deposits and withdrawals. For instance in last 14 hours there were only 4 blocks) Very few txs happening right now.

You just opened an account and forged a block?  If the only place to get NODE is BTER and withdraw is disabled , how did you get enough NODE in your account to forge?

I had there 500k of course. Which I get long ago. You misunderstood me. I meant I logged in my acc and after 1-2 mins forged a block.
what's the state of the network of node?
normal ,stable?

Everything works fine for me.

Running 24 hrs now and no block forged. I guess there are not enough transactions going on atmo with bter down.

Well, I don't know if that's the case, but I tried running the client for 8-10 hours per day like a week in a row, but didn't forge any block at all. That way there isn't much incentive to keep the client running...

You have to use the new client 0.9.1b (available since2 days) with POA and it needs 500k nodes. With only few blocks last 2 days (because no deposit or withdraw from bter.com) are not enough blocks for all open clients. If your client is open only 10 hours a day, you get no block at the moment, because there are about 25 clients open 24 hours.

I have 0.9.1 running on my linux but it does not listen on port 19775 any more.

ps -ax:

14659 ?        Ssl    0:00 /usr/bin/nodejs /usr/lib/node_modules/forever/bin/monitor index.js

Before, 0.9.0 worked.

I did
Code:
forever start index.js
to start. What am I doing wrong?

OK, I figured out the following: WHen re-installing it is not enough to simply unpack and re-run.

The steps 'npm install' and 'npm install forever -g' must also be performed!

This apparently registers the app with the nodejs, not doing this won't work.

Code:
5) Rename file clientConfig.example.js to clientConfig.js

6) The file clientConfig.js find accName: '"

7) Where "" in quotes to insert the password. Example: accName: 'testaccount"

8) npm install

9) npm -g install forever

10) forever start index.js

Maybe it would be good to post here translations?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php#5

I posted the translation of the following text:

NODE
Starting from scratch in node.js, NODE is part of the second generation of cryptocoins. It's capable of 50-100 confirmations per second and algorithm is based on Proof of Activity, already implemented.
Generate blocks only there are transactions, thus eliminating the bloatware.
Since february will integrate NodePay EUR, USD and BTC: "this is not just crypto but payment processor"
The plan for short term development: http://blog.nodecoin.com/posts/node-short-term-development-plan
It has solid foundations and a great potential market. Currently much undervalued price.

Announcement

Proof of Activity Algo. Launched. Clients Win and Linux ready.!

Now you can try the POA algorithm on real network

Version Win: http://nodecoin.com/node_0.9.1b_win.zip
Version Linux: http://nodecoin.com/node_0.9.1b_linux.zip
Instructions for Linux (https://github.com/nodepay/Docs/blob/master/Instructions.md

Attention to participate in Forge POA, you must have the account 500 000 coins

And don't forget to follow us on Twitter - For the latest News & Updates

First you have to download last version of NODE client. Currently this are the latest versions. Open it and wait till blockchain is downloaded and working. (your account number is in the upper-right corner)

Also go to bter and buy minimum 500k NODE. Personally i bought a few millions.. After that withdraw them to your NODE account to start forging (deposit and withdrawals will be working on monday) and pay attention to the client updates dev team is doing almost weekly (yes they are working hard)

To be able to forge u just need to have your client open and eventually you will forge a block. What this means? When transactions are made.. let's say 1M.. that Million pays 0,35% fees, which is 3500 NODE. If you forge that block! You'll get those 3500 NODE! If u are not that lucky and u forge a block with let's say 10000 NODE, u'll forge 35NODE. A block can contain several transaction.

Good luck forging.

Downloaded and installed client, seems to be running but what now? Have myself a nice Passphrase which allows me to login - I now Intended to buy some NODE to be able to forge but where the hell should I send it once I bought it at BTER.com, Practically none of the links on the website work, do I need a wallet for this to work? The link to the Wallet drop me on a page explaining me that its not available right now?  FAQ doesn't tell me much either?

If there is someone out here willing to explain to me how to get this forging working it would be much appreciated and would gladly jump on this seemingly shaky Band wagon.

Thanks in advance

node bter.com deposit withdraw available at monday.

And then what, I deposit it in a wallet I don't have or can't download or will this also become available on Monday? The number in the top right corner of the client is my "Account number"? Pardon me for my ignorance.

I don't understand what you mean
hope this help https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.9467748

Once you buy Node on bter you have to send it to your account, when you enter your password in local client it generated a account number which is connected to your password, use very strong password because if you lose your password you lose your account. You can find your account number on upper right side of node client and bter withdrawals are on hold till Monday.

I think minimum amount to start forging is 500k Node.
