how if you contact this exchange https://www.ccedk.com/
they list NUBITS EUR/USD
i think they will add NODE

We don't need at the moment another exchange and certainly no such. The volume is not big enough for more exchanges. First we need marketing for more interested people and then we will hit another exchange. Only more exchanges not means also more interest.

it will help to promote NODE too. if they add node

Thats no promotion, if a 4. class exchange who nobody knows, add NODE. This coin deserves better.

I see 3 critical issues now:

1. We need to set up minimum stake to being able to forge. This will secure us from multiaccounting and abusing POA. (It is already done for test phase but will it be the same on the real net?)

2. Currently you can login with the same password on unlimited amount of clients at the same time. I was logged in at 3 linux clients during this test and all of them in peers (nodemoney.com:20000) showed my acc number. I made no tx and forged 3 blocks.

3. There is even bigger issue with linux client which I already reported to Silk. Hope it will be fixed soon.

1. Yes, in a real network will also be 500,000 to start the forge (only until we finish the EUR / USD integration)

2. We will make config file for Linux where you can set your password

3. In other versions will be able to forge through the API

An skype interview with the Node Team on  25/10/14 @ 6:00 PM has been arranged

However  i have a very busy week, quite hard for me to fit time in for anything

Would anyone reliable in the community like to commit to this time slot and interview the Node team themselves

Regards

I dont think that forging 3 times is a bug or something even without making any transaction.. that is the way poa is supposed to work.

It depends, I need to know more to see if it's a bug.  If sava was logged in in 3 places, each showing up as a peer, and when he sent a transaction, each node got the bonus points for POA, that could be a problem.  That would seem to indicate that each logged in client was cheating the system.  If on the other hand that isn't happening, and he just forged 3 blocks because there are not many peers, that's a different story.  Question for the devs is if the POA is linked to the client, or to the account no.

Have had my client running for almost 2 weeks straight now, still not forged a block with a full stake. What is going on?
Very strange!
Are you using the windows wallet??

I was also using the wallet windows8, but not found any block, I'll wait until the PoA is implemented to leave connected 24/7.

You are doing the test PoA privately? Will create a public testnet when?

thx!!

the test was announced 10 days ago and you must PM the devs to get an invitation.
for this round, it's too late. i don't know when will be the next test.
ook, should have posted in the OP. :|

nxtl\db: 3 files
nxtl 0 kB
nxtlTx 7 kB
peers 25 kB

DB isn't downloading. What's most common cause of that?
Anybody?

1. version 0.9b ? -> http://nodecoin.com/node_0.9b.zip
2. access granted for node_0.9b_beta.exe in firewall ?
3. port 19775 open in firewall ?

Also before trying again delete the nxtl folder.

Personally i would prefer to have a little amount of PoS in addition to PoA so that "inactive" users who just leave the client running also get a little share for helping the network. Don't get me wrong, PoA is great but if you do not move money but help to secure the network by leaving a wallet running you should get something.

I made no transactions during last 2 days and forged 3 blocks.

well then you are lucky. this has not happened often for me.

The 3 security issues need to be fixed, these are dangerous for node. but PoA seems to work quite good.

I experienced a bug (maybe it is a variety of the known bug):
I have a transaction that is stuck with only 1 confirmation since at least 6 hours. The Node are gone from my balance but in no block.

+1.

Num 2 is interesting.  So this means the forging is now linked to the node/IP, not to the account.  Definitely a possibility for abuse then (eg someone sends a large transaction, then all three nodes get advantage over others to forge blocks).

Good to see that the POA principles are working so far.  Some tweaking to go, but the basic idea is sound.
