Hi,

just wondering, what that the time counter in the OP mean?

Is this when Avalon is making the next order at TSMC?

Nope, it's the closure date of this batch! I've put it there so people would get a sense of what my expectations are to close this batch. Otherwise, people might think this is going to stay open forever.. You know how it is..

Hey hydra,

the last news we've got on pricing of the PCBs+assembly is 85 EUR for the K16.
What about a 64/80 chips model? would it be cheaper?
What if i got 160 chips? it's 850 EUR for PCBs? Are you planning a discount for bigger orders?
Are you going to ask the pricing for 80/160 chips modules or will it be the same as K16?

As I see this, the general design of the Klondike was done by BKKcoins, here:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=190731.0

He has to finish his designs for the Klondike 16 then he will go on to the larger boards.

At least thats what I think the situation looks like.

regards

Yes, indeed. I'm waiting for him to get the design ready for production so i can make a proto board ASAP.

Meanwhile, i'm waiting for the price of the Avalon boards, based on the actual Avalon schematics.

figured I would order what I can as Gox still has not credited my account with my deposit, but again I believe tomorrow closed the standard window of time they leave themselves.

guys, sorry for OT but if you are from Europe, I strongly recommend you to use bitstamp.net instead of gox.

Bitstamp is based in Europe, SEPA transfers takes from 24-48 hours (from my experience) and all is very smooth and fast. btw I don't know why, but BTC/$ price is also better for bitcoin buyers.

reg. group buy: once there will be few more orders in second group and btc will be little bit lower, also considering to buy some chips.)

Thank for the advise on Bitstamp.  I will definitely look into it after this transaction with Gox, as I have already transferred my funds I have to wait an see what happens I guess.  But as I mentioned earlier, I've made a couple of transactions with Gox at this point and have not had any issues so far except the occasional website down msg.
I can say that my experience with Bitstamp has been very good too (24/48 h with SEPA transfers). Furthermore, I had a really bad experience with a transfer to Gox in 2012 June. It took around a month to assing it in my account (the price during that period rised around 58% from the beginning to the last of the transaction), that encouraged me to look for other exchanges...

PD: Sorry again for the off-topic  Undecided

Thanks for the advice, I was a bit worried also a few days ago. I've tried to withdraw from Gox via OKPay. Finally, it worked pretty quick, but with a painful 10% out of the total sum withdrawn..
Also, I've used Skrill too in the past, but that charges 12% and you end up buying BTC at $160 instead of $128.. as it would normally be.

I guess the best way to buy BTC is have someone trusted, send paypal and receive BTC...

Regards,
Steve
