Scam-Busting PSA: Beware of Black Arrow Software

Damn didn't see that been at work and just got home, Have you paid for your shipping yet then.

Paid for shipping on 2014-07-15, admittedly before there was any agreed procedure in place, so I placed my boards order separately on 2014-07-18, chip exchange for services. All payment accepted and confirmed.

It's all hypothetical until we receive our boards Smiley
Agreed. But it's an interesting discussion while we wait in the mean time Smiley I've been refreshing my order status page on T/B hourly, waiting for the magical change from payment accepted to 'shipped'. Speaking of which, Marto, you've got your full retail boards listed as starting shipping this weekend, any word on how progress is going with our boards? Cheers.

I also suggest those doing this use Liquid Pro. http://www.coollaboratory.com/en/products/liquid-pro/

This stuff is amazing, and no other product has shown results as high at transferring heat. I ordered 50 tubes, but guys, PLEASE pay attention, this shit is sensitive. Its transference is unheard of, but you must take your time. 1 simple drop goes a mile.

Check this thread to see results for another product that failed and the community is taking it into their own hands. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=641998.20

After using it several times, I truly believe a much more cost effective fan could be used. With that said, I still took the recommended cooler, and will use liquid pro, lets see some oc baby.

+1 , I have the ultra and it dropped about 8ºC on my cpu and 15ºC on my graphics card.

However as it has been said, it is gallium based and gallium destroys aluminium :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHHI2Lk79cY

Also it is expensive and the improvement in cooling depends a lot on the watts/cm^2 of the die, I don't know if it is really worth it for the minion so I will be using artic silver.

BTW my watercooling tests are going fine, a relativelly complex block that could be used as a phase change evaporator gave me 28ºC with 100W (a p4 northwood) with 22ºC of ambient temps. However I can't really mass make those on time or budget so I tried a really simple high flow design and I got 38ºC load temps wich even if it is not stellar performance it is good enough so I am making 100 of them (for me and a friend). I also got a monster 155W 10000L/h pump.

I'm in with the very first bunch for once lol so maybe have a final end to this BA nightmare Smiley

I know, the "Next Week" groundhog day coming to an end hopefully.

When we receive boards we should post here along with TechnoBit order# to give the rest of us something to watch.

I think you're a little before me @sorehammer, I'll post mine also, we all should.

Bought 48 intel stock coolers for €50, since I'll downclock they will do fine as they can do 95W anyway. Also ordered 4 of these, only €9 a piece, reviews are ok for 100W, even more. http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/353860/deepcool-ice-edge-mini-fs.html.
I'm also ordering some Spire Starflow Pro ones, Spire site says they can do up to 130 W, and they look very similar to the intel stock sinks with their forked sink blades, but have a center copper part where the intels are only aluminum. http://www.spire-corp.com/cpu-coolers/starflow-pro-sp559s7-l/

Sub 100W CPU are in reference to 20 dB noise of the fan. It can cool a CPU up to 170W but the fan will be spinning faster and you will have more noise levels.

That can only do 95w tdp so may not get you chips cool enough.
