I'm not talking about the chance that someone will buy for that price, but the fact that someone is selling a domain that if put in "right" hands, can fool people to loose money. Like selling stuff for criminals, I don't think it's trustworthy behavior.  The whole think looks like " I don't care if the site will scam people, I just want to make my money" type of a guy.
It is clear he is flipping domains and he even mentioned that they approached binance and they rejected the offer and it is clear the reason for that is because there are more than 1500 domain extension and there is no point in purchasing all these extensions, it is a fine line where domain squatting is illegal according to jurisdiction and in this case binance did not even bothered to purchase according to his demand and he wanted to leverage his options, morally not the best choices but i have not seen anyone taking action against domain flippers and squatting here in the forum.

Two guys are posting one after another...

Do not listen to any predictions, act as you see fit.

Always do your own research, don't follow someone's prediction.

Normally I would report both for spam, but since there is only one comment between them and they are quite similar, shall I report them as a attempt of plagiarisms? What do you guys think?

What are your thoughts on that one?
Looks like he wanted to create the hype to renegotiate with them again as he clearly said binance was not interested in purchasing this domain when he approached them and scammers will always go for .com domains and he has a point there according to one of his response.

I do not think any scammer will spend 5BTC to get a . exchange extension Cheesy

We already made a deal with Binance team but they didn't kept their word, so we terminated the conversation with them.

What you guys think ??
I saw the topic too, but I don't think anyone in their right mind will buy it Smiley

No one will pay them 5BTC for that domain because they do not worth more than regular price for a domain with .exchange extension. $20-30 is real.
This is just an attempt to provoke Binance to buy this domain and the prevention of possible abuse. Of course, this will not happen. If there is a phishing attempt, Binance will report them, the domain will be suspended and the owner will not have anything from there.

What are your thoughts on that one?

A guy is selling a domain name, nothing to worry about but selling Binance.Exchange domain, what can be used for?
Option one: Binance will buy it just to secure it, but I really doubt it.
Option two: Could be used for scamming.
Option three: I can't find excuse for using this domain for a different purpose than scamming. Sorry.
What you guys think ??

Description: Binance.Exchange Domain Name

Just in Case you find more if this Spam somewhere !

Found that in the Altcoin Mining section , 5 threads from 5 diffrent Users  !
This link shows why they are making these topics.
All of them should be deleted ASAP.

We need a rule against paid articles published on forum? (It is usually difficult to prove it of course and those posts can be removed for advertisement as well.)

Edit: Three out of five threads haven't been deleted yet. I reported them and referred to that link on Medium. Let's see how moderators will handle my reports.

Edit 2: All three reports were marked as good.

Very good finding, now archive the link and use it for reference when you report the posts and im sure all those accounts will be banned.
I wish I had time for the reporting. Btw the ann thread will also be trashed if you report it.

Once the report is handled, I don't think Mods will revisit it. But maybe the Newbies got a temporary ban instead of deleting the posts.
Seems like that's not the case, as one of the accounts made new post this morning.

Or the Mod just overlooked a few posts
I guess that could happen too, as i reported something like 50 posts.  Maybe mod just marked  reports  as good but forgot to delete the posts.  Anyway, i reported those posts again, I hope it won't be marked as bad for some reason.

edit: posts deleted now, all good. Thnx mods!

My question is: should i report those posts again as they are still there, or they will be eventually deleted and its just some kind of  delay?
Once the report is handled, I don't think Mods will revisit it. But maybe the Newbies got a temporary ban instead of deleting the posts. Or the Mod just overlooked a few posts, most posts in that topic have been deleted:

@LoyceV with request, from your database is it possible to list in which sections/sub-sections an account has posted in?
For me it is more interesting to see if an account has posted in 2-3 different local sections, easier to spot account buyers.
I don't use a database (because I still don't know how to do this), so I didn't keep data on which board a post was made in.
I could list them like in this topic, but only for selected users.

so it will take more time to do for all users that is likely what you asked for. He even does not want to do such big scrape too often.
I'm downloading all posts, which started in February and will be done around August. This isn't something I want to do too often indeed Tongue

Sure. LoyceV can do this and he actually did it sometimes. AFAIK, he has to scrape data if requested so such data will be provided if you give him a list of target abusers.

It takes about one day to scrape data for all merit-recorded users (earned or sent at least one merit) so it will take more time to do for all users that is likely what you asked for. He even does not want to do such big scrape too often.

This is almost impossible to stop. Quite often in megathreads people do not read the previous comments, they just reply to the OP, and if the subject discussed in the OP is not very specific people just repeat the same thing all the time just using different words.
I see no way of stopping this. If the OP is responsible person after he gets the answers he needs he should lock the thread but we know very well who are the thread's starters..

Never seen this issue popping up before, so I'm going to raise it here: members who constantly simply repeat other users' opinions and reply to fulfill their sig campaign minimum post requirement or to boost their account post count & activity.

It's pretty obvious and happens a ton of time especially in megathreads. Only today I've replied to two new threads and have seen at least two members doing it already:

It's more than just one factor that led to the disappointment and .. let's call it the "fall" of altcoins.

First, we have scams. New people get in the cryptocurrency sphere as (...)

And so on.. we have lots of reasons alts have failed. At least most of them. Most people prefer Bitcoin or the top few cryptocurrencies because they're popular and people work hard on (...)

There are only a few still being properly managed & developed and only few will make it through this decade imo. Those who deliver what they promised and who prove to be safe and properly secured & developed will thrive. The rest will go straight to the trashcan. So that's the only right thing you can do: deliver your promises and make your coin be what it was supposed to become when it was born. Otherwise, it'll be placed among the thousands of shitcoins that will most likely never be revived again.

I think the real reasons behind terrible altcoin market are:
Dozens of scams, inactive or abandoned projects in last couple of years which has taken the trust and interest of investors away from altcoin market.
Some projects that are alive and active but are unable to come up with quality finished product even after 2-3 years of time and with many fake promises, such projects have also damaged the altcoin reputation badly.
So at the moment people are looking for only top coins to invest or trade which is hurting altcoin market as well.

* These users have been the first two to reply to the thread I'm quoting and the second quote is off topic. The thread was about using Blockchain to create digital IDs and manage the virus spread. No mention or link to any food or food chain so the shitposting is obvious..

That's interesting food for thought but I doubt such a product could be developed fast enough to be useful for the current coronavirus epidemic. Maybe it could be ready for the next epidemic though.

Sorry, but we've seen a lot of blockchain projects trying to be developed about food chains. But even in a normal period, we saw that they were not successful and could not progress.

In fact, it's not just about food chains. Blockchain is a great technological development, everyone agrees. But I am not sure how accurate it is to apply to Blockchain to solve all the problems in the world. In other words, Blockchain can not cure all of our problems. Instead, it may be time to use blockchain in the right place and look for more rational solutions in other areas.

The first two quotes I put in this thread are everywhere on the forum and I have had enough of these kind of members.. I don't know if it can be called "plagiarizing" but it's something very similar to it anyways.

The last pair of quotes show how bad shitposting is.. New thread, only one reply to it - the user (Nadziratel) prefers to read only lucasholder's reply and give an answer purely based on his reply so Nadziratel goes completely off topic..

I wanted to raise this question many, many times but avoided to.. so I'll do it now: is there anything we can do about these kind of members?

An interesting situation on Burstex ANN, that i reported for thread bumping  few months ago. One of the bumpers complaining that Burstex didn't pay for the work done. I love this euphemism for ANN bumping service, "marketing agency".  Cheesy

I heared that BURSTEX scammed marketing agency.
They order some services and don't pay for work.
Looks like you really scammed some guys https://prnt.sc/rumc46

@Villacross ordered "special" service. And don't pay for job done. I can show spreadsheets with reports. But after that, their account will get several red flags. They should pay money better.
