Yeah I am reporting posts on their thread as well, new ones keep showing up constantly. Reason they have bunch of those newbies spamming redundant nonsense is that they have airdrop going on, and one of the tasks is to leave comment on bitcointalk.

I reported those kind of ANN in past, and some got deleted, while some are still there, so I am not sure how this exactly goes regarding no giveaway rules, but I report this one  anyway, so let's see how it goes. Until then I'll just keep reporting posts.

Jockjolys posting an obvious Ponzi scam, although scam is not regulated I suspect Jockjolys is an alt of Joniswad which was banned yesterday posting the same thing in Bitcoin discussion(reference below).

I tried to report all new posts on that Pyrk ANN, and to keep your warning post  to be among last posts so other can see what is going on. LoyceV can give exact number how many posts were deleted there, but based from my post history, I reported at least 80-90 posts, that i can see.

Regarding those giveaways threads being locked/deleted, how come this thread has been deleted, and the others not? Not sure what to do exaclty next time when I come across such threads, report it or not?


No one can report these shitposts all the time (except maybe Lafu, based on his amount of reported posts ) occasional break is healthy and needed I think.

The thread is down to 2 and 1/2 pages now -- most of the spam has been removed. Its an awful shitcoin with no redeeming features but not a scam. From the quote you posted from theymos, it sounds like locking the topic only applies to threads specifically pertaining to a giveaway.


Also, it could be argued that because the dev is only rewarding people for making "constructive posts", its a bit better than "insubstantial posts"... IDK... In any event, absolutely nobody joined, could be because of my threats to tag their accounts, LOL.

When you are out of the forum for a while you loose the grip and you start forgetting things (maybe the lack of sleep is also a factor or just the way you are getting old)
I have newbies at work I'm training for about a month now, hopefully I get some free time to dive again in what I like to do, before I go on the parenting leave. Then I'll be off for a while I think.

I was a little bit off then with my guesstimate for reported posts, felt like there were more of them. Kudos to those "marketing agencies " that are still managing to sell something ineffective as thread bumping is. I know that ICObench and some other trackers are giving score based on bitcointalk ANN activity, maybe they are aiming for that?

181 posts and the topic has only 961 views. That means the bumping system is working just fine, they barely get any attention from it. They may be spamming, but you're one of the few people to even notice their topic

Yep, they simply won't give up, for some reason. Anyone reasonable would realize that what they are trying to do is not working, or maybe they paid for a full month of that service, and those spammers will keep on no matter what. I reported at least 200 of their posts in the last week or so, and they kept churning out new ones. They stopped for a few days now, but somehow I doubt that they won't start again when they think that no one is keeping an eye on their thread.

I'd be thankful if someone could report this post/thread and have it locked... looked around a bit for the official rule that states you can't give away tokens for this kind of activity and couldn't find it. Thanks.

I thought that breaking forum rules by giving tokens in exchange for comments on ANN thread (outside Games and round section ) is usually punished by that thread being locked/deleted. Is that the standard practice or I misunderstood something here?

I am asking because few days ago I reported such thread to mods, and so far it is still unhandled. Another user made thread about it in scam accusation board as well
