We’re thrilled to announce that Alex Mashinsky, serial entrepreneur and CEO of Celsius Network, is bringing his skills to Coinlend as its newest advisor.

https://coinlend.org/#!Content:Team

Alex is one of the inventors of VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) with a foundational patent dating back to 1994 and is now working on MOIP (Money Over Internet Protocol) technology. Over 35 patents have been issued to Alex, relating to exchanges, VOIP protocols, messaging and communication. As a serial entrepreneur and founder of seven New York City-based startups, Alex has raised more than $1 billion and exited over $3 billion. Alex founded two of New York City’s top 10 venture-backed exits since 2000: one of his first companies, Arbinet, IPO’d in 2004 with a market capitalization of over $750 million; and another venture, Transit Wireless, was valued at $1.2 billion at the time of exit.

Alex has received numerous awards for innovation, including being nominated twice by E&Y as entrepreneur of the year in 2002 & 2011; Crain’s 2010 Top Entrepreneur; the prestigious 2000 Albert Einstein Technology medal; and the Technology Foresight Award for Innovation (presented in Geneva at Telecom 99).

As one of the pioneers of web-based exchanges, Alex authored patents that cover aspects of the Smart Grid, ad exchanges, Twitter, Skype, App Store, Netflix streaming concept and many other popular web companies. Use our new Rate Spread Strategy to spread your loans over a range of interest rates up to 20 loans.

The goal of the rate spread strategy is to spread out the interest rate of the generated loans evenly between the minimum and maximum rate. This strategy allows users with enough funds to benefit from lower rates on the one hand which are taken faster and higher rates which will utilize rising or spiking interest rates. The user can configure a spread up to 20 loans. There are three ways to define the minimum and maximum rate:

Fixed: The user defines a fixed minimum and maximum rate.
Relative (Abs): The user defines an offset that is added/subtracted to/from the optimal lending rate calculated by the platform.
Relative (%): The user defines an offset that is applied relative to the optimal lending rate calculated by the platform. E.g. If the lending rate calculated by Coinlend is 20% and a relative minimum rate of 10% is defined: The resulting minimum rate would be 22%.

I see rates on your site for Ripple 742% and Doge 582%.
Is that how much return I would get? What is the duration of that rate?
Why are the rates so high on your site?
Right now on Poloniex the rate to borrow BTC is about 0.007% a day which is only about 2.5% a year.
And if the price of bitcoin drops then you could easily end up losing money.
I don't get how you would make very much money lending. What is the strategy?

The duration of the loans varies from 2 days - 60 days. Most lenders are long-term holder and don't care about the short-term price swings too much.

Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Dash lending now supported for Quoinex!

Quoine also supports a few others. See the dropdown box on https://home.quoinex.com/lend/offers . When will those be available? Or am I missing something?

On the other hand the app shows coins on Poloniex, that do not seem to be able to be loaned out:

Edit: Image won't load here. See https://pasteboard.co/HxCc0qY.png

And a feature request. Can you make the "inverse" from your current "reserve amount" option available? I.e. I have 1012 XRP, but only want to make 1000 XRP available for lending by the bot. This would be useful when wanting to withdraw profits for a coin. Otherwise they are mostly locked in loans.

Some of the lendable coins have absolutely no volume on Quoinex, so they are never lent out actually. We are monitoring all the coins on Quoinex and we will add them when it makes sense.

The reversed reserved amount is on our list of features we will implement in the future!

We redesigned the coin settings interface. All input elements are now collapsed by default and can be expanded by clicking the description. This results in a less cluttered UI and lets us put more configuration options into the interface.
