Thanks for adding the SMLY.

If I am reading the footnotes correctly, it should have two asterisks: It is being actively mined, but it has a significant premine.

Alternatively, maybe a third category (checkbook money? I haven't found a good english term for http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buchgeld yet...) that tracks "assets" which only track (or are redeemable for) already existing currencies, such as BTC, USD, CNY... opposed to "assets" that represent a share/token of something like a project, a corporation or similar. From a quick glance, CoinoUSD, BitUSD and BitCNY would fall under this category for example.
I support this idea!

Please replace the old discussion link with this new forum link.

So that it is visible at the spreadcoin coinmarketcap site: http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/spreadcoin/

Should (larger?!) currencies issued on Ripple be added to http://coinmarketcap.com/assets/views/all/?

On one hand it might explain better to people why XRP have gained value, on the other hand I can only imagine the butthurt...

Maybe "virtual currencies" vs. "crypto currencies"?

Why not added back to the list of CCnex Exchange.

CCnex has been removed from your list and all of a sudden one day the Exchange.
Sent mail a request to the support team, too many times before, there is no reply to this.

I think it is unfair.
I would like to hear your thoughts.

Thank You.

Encrypted Money, Baby!
Hey everyone,

I'm currently playing around with the API at http://coinmarketcap-nexuist.rhcloud.com/ (this does not seem to be officially developed by cmc, am I right?), as I need some (very basic) data for my project http://bitshit.shice.info/ - I need the total amount of coins in existence.
Of course, I could just count the length of the result, but it feels somewhat wasteful to request, receive and process ~500 items when all I need is a simple result in this form:
Code:
{
  "total_coins": 503
}
Does anyone know a way to achieve exactly this? Smiley

It's sad that you removed MOTO. I don't even know when it happened.  Embarrassed

I know, it's half-dead now, but we still have some trading on c-cex and also live block explorer here: http://37.153.97.65:3000/. Also we have public bot now, so we're no longer under hypothetical threat of 51% attack.

Thanks for adding the CLAM marketcap to your site.

I have a list of historical moneysupply amounts if you want to go back and add them.

If so, how far apart do you want the samples? Every hour, every block, or what?

Alternatively, you can grab them from the blockchain yourself, like this, to get the supply as of block 100k for example:

Code:
$ clamd getblock $(clamd getblockhash 100000) | grep supply
    "moneysupply" : 14801149.19280093,
    "digsupply" : 62721.70172306,
    "stakesupply" : 26747.78872897,
    "activesupply" : 89469.49045203,

'activesupply' is the amount available (it's the sum of dig + stake) and 'moneysupply' is the total theoretically available at that point in time.

Would you be able to convert the block values to dates?   One day apart would be sufficient.

Yeah I would. I'm preparing the list now. How's this for a format? The fields are: block number, total supply, active supply, date, time. I'm only listing the first block from each day:

 16830 14774456.96231688   5812.37791992 2014/06/07 00:03:11

The list is ready. I pasted it here:

Gliss,

Will you please remove the Poloniex from YACoin's listed exchanges? (YAC is not YACC) Thank you!

Also, like YBCoin, AppleCoin is also now a PoS only coin, so it is not mineable.
