hmm dev was online today and no update : /

And this comes as a surprise to who?

They said that lack of communication before was due to a misunderstanding between pr people.  That was complete bullshit, becasiue there still is no update.

I have still not received confirmation emails, and am down just over 1btc and 5m leaf.  They have not responded to PM's, they have not fixed the issue with no emails being received and they have not sent my coins to me.

They are complete fucking scammers, who are releasing just enough shitcoins to make people think there is still hope they will see their btc again.  Kenneth Bjorke needs reporting to the police in Norway.  He says he is not involved but does not give any details about who it is.  So he is continuing to allow this theft even after being made aware of it.  So he is now as much to blame as the person running coinmarket, that is if they are two different people and I've seen no prof what so ever to convince me that they are different people.  Imho its Kenneth Bjorke trying to come up with bullshit stories  in the hope people believe it's not him behind this.

Hi guys,

I feel I'm obligated to leave this message.  Coinmarket.IO has processed my stuck RDD transaction and transferred 51736880.8855 RDD to my wallet on March 14th.

I just wish to express my thanks and gratitude to Coinmarket.IO for resolving the issue.  To the owner of Coinmarket.IO:  I don't really know what's going on with your site and business, but I wish you the best of luck. I am really sorry for what you had to go through. It must be tough trying to run a legitimate business but only have people thinking that you're running a scam. You have my condolence and I hope you will succeed in any future endeavor.

To the people who haven't gotten their money back: Don't panic and don't lose hope! I was in the same position as you guys a few weeks ago (stuck transactions and so forth).  But I was pleasantly surprised to see that the admin has actually returned my money. I know you guys are truly frustrated and everything, but please try cutting him some slack, and give him some time to sort out the mess. Sometimes making threat is the most counter-productive thing one can do. I don't believe that Coinmarket.io was intended to be a scam from beginning.

Wish all of you best of luck. Thanks!

This gives me hope, that I might see my >300k DGB, but unfortunatelly it has different issues... Withdrawn in the old chain, CM system marked it as "confirmed", so unless they update DGB wallet and revert all withdrawals which happened from the fork 'till now... Sucks to be me. Hope is very small.

I suppose I was fortunate cuz I only had some shitty coins that nobody wanted to steal..  Cheesy  RDD, Leafcoin, and some mintcoin.

I first posted the problem on March 13th, and the money was processed manually on 14th.  This is my conjecture:  I feel the theft was most likely done by an outsider, and like most users had mentioned, only Bitcoin or valuable altcoins were targeted.  And the admin was too inexperienced/powerless to stop the ongoing theft.

Now with a large percentage of bitcoin gone, the admin doesn't quite know how to deal with the mess since the crypto-based assets he had on his site were not insured. But by not coming out and telling the truth, he only created more panic, distrust, and unhealthy speculation.

To the owner: Honesty is really the best policy, and reputation is everything in the tech world. If you don't want to see your reputation tarnished, I'd really advise you to come out and take on the responsibility. Most people are really forgiving if you're willing to tell the truth. I hope even if you are not able to pay back everyone at the moment, you would still come out and give people an explanation and assurance. There is a solution to every problem and maybe you can work out a plan to pay everyone back.  Hiding behind your monitor really wouldn't solve any problem and would only create more resentment if you remain silent.

If you need an assistant or a representative (or just someone to talk to), I'm willing to pitch in and help. I used to be a system admin and I know how sick it feels when someone hacked into your system and stole everything.

Like I said, best of luck, but please work out a plan with everyone here to pay back everything.  I shared the pain of everyone here, and I can tell you that I really had problem falling asleep for several weeks. This is your mess, and please be a man and shoulder your responsibility.  It is yours the moment you decided to undertake such a risky venture as starting a currency exchange.

Good luck to all the victims. I know and share your pain.  Sad Angry I really hope you will get your bitcoin back soon.

Vigilantism? Really? Then you're not better then them!
Folks, you're acting in a gray area with BTC things. It's decentralized! There is no BTC-law or sth like that! Keep that in mind. Face up with that fact! If you spend money, you can loose everything, it's a dangereous business! It's more like a game. You may win, but probably you loose.

no, its same thing if someone steal u anything else that has value in real life

If the law aren't interested in bitcoin theft, then that is all the more reason for the owners of coinmarket to be shitting themselves.  If people cannot use legal measures to recover their loss, then some may well turn to illegal measures.  I'm out about £700 or about $1,000.  I'm not happy, but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.  If I were out ten times that, I would have no problem in paying somebody to break the legs of the thief if I knew where they were.   Other people may not need to be out $10,000 before they take such drastic measures.  That's the risk the coinmarket owner takes when they steal I guess.
