To be frank I'm a bit surprised you are now saying what you regard as fair and what cheating and not before the actual voting. Maybe I've never taken part in such voting before, but in my view such things as rules should be clearly outlined (in detail) before voting commence.

Someone above had said Diamond Coin has no community.. it's laughable,  on the contrary I've never heard about PandaCoin (apart from people complaining it to be a scam) or the other coins who got hundreds of votes.

As per my conversation with 'Prodigy' we aggregated some of our votes. Those members of the community who did not have any bitcoins but fully supported the idea were subsidised by more wealthy community donors. We saw this as legitimate behaviour with no ill intentions. It would be a shame to learn that you've changed your mind or that we were not fully aware of all the rules.

In any case (for the future), please be more specific on what exactly is not permitted, because what's not permitted is usually allowed.

It's been exciting to follow the stats for the last few days; congratulations to anyone who won the race Smiley

The panda coin scam you are speaking about is PANDA coin.. ours is PND. That is a common misconception.

I voted.. sent my 500 doge. I'm unsure why people are saying we used bots. We used Twitter and FB to advertise to thousands of people.. our twitter has over 8000 followers and FB has hundreds of likes. Regardless I hope the money goes to charity as that's really what this is all about.

I really hope you guys check the subreddits out to see who actually has a community.
PND definitely has a community, I can't say the same for diamond, klondike
Not only that, PND is extremely active on 4chan.
Please consider the follwoing:

PND (428 subscribed very active): http://www.reddit.com/r/therealpandacoin
Klondike (77 subscribed, barely any activity): http://www.reddit.com/r/klondikecoin
I0coin: none
iXcoin 17 subscriers: http://www.reddit.com/r/Ixcoin
Diamondcoin: None

Now tell me, honestly
Who has the most legitimate votes?

This.  The proof shall set us free.

Great work raising money for a great cause, everyone!

Hi All,

Since the voting has been completed, the iCoin team will be donating 13 000 iCoin towards the charity as a goodwill gesture, even if some of our users voted more then
once which can be understandable with the passionate community we have. Like Pandacoin we were really behind the coinpayments vote as this is really important for us,
not because of the merchants that already exist on coinpayments but for new merchants that want to accept iCoin.

So even before the final winners are announced we are giving the iCoin regardless if we make it this round or not.

It's really good to see Coinpayments is backed by a honest and legitimate team.

Well just to be clear, the coins that we will be adding will be added to a trial basis, due to previous coins having 0 transactions...
If whatever coin gets added and nobody purchases anything with it for a few months... Kinda pointless for them to even vote. lol

Also a note: A coin being added to our system most likely will not effect the price of the coin on a market, we are not an exchange.

But yea, way to go with raising the 1.40 btc!

Sounds great!
I can assure you PND will be booming with transactions.

Ok, we have our donation totals:

BTC: 0.59900000
LTC: 21.75029500
DOGE: 129059.65920300

DOGE sold at Cryptsy @ 0.00000205 = 0.26457025 BTC.
LTC sold at Cryptsy @ 0.02506002 = 0.54496603 BTC.

Grand total: 1.40853628 BTC! It is in address https://blockchain.info/address/1E2KLoBR3cXv1d9WdAwDeTxGM2fJN4MsXM until we send it to the Water Project later today or tomorrow (to work out details with them to verify the donation for everyone.)

For the permanent public record I have posted this information at pastebin too as guest so it can't be deleted/edited: http://pastebin.com/uFySeAs8
It is a nice haul. 790 USD.

Another thing, the PND/BTC market on Swisscex (https://www.swisscex.com/market) holds first place for the largest volume of trades.

That's awesome! Such a shame that it's at about 75% of it's normal value.

While I'm not sure how many duplicate votes may have been entered, I can assure you that no bots were used for PND.

I don't really understand this whole bot detection thing between you and Mintpal.

Couldn't I just bot the top 10 coins to get them disqualified so my coin gets in? Everyone is probably botting eachother.  Smiley

Botting only disqualifies the bot votes, it won't disqualify the coin itself. We thought of that attack vector too.

After looking at the way the vote counts were going it was pretty clear Klondike and Pandacoin used a bot over the last 24 hours, we were worried about diamond coin being taken out by them.
PND did not use a bot. It was all legitimate on our end. Having a following on two popular websites helps greatly in the acquisition of votes. Proof will be inbound once i gather the threads

And.... times up  Wink

A few votes are already in progress so a few more will trickle in but no new votes will be accepted. Now begins the big task of going through the votes and removing fraudulent votes, (of which there are a lot, as seems to be usual now).

Once the last votes have completed or timed out we'll post the final totals of BTC, LTC, and DOGE in this thread and convert the LTC and DOGE to BTC. Originally we were only going to convert the Dogecoin but The Water Project asked us to convert the LTC too.)

The final vote results will be posted by 12:00pm EST (GMT -0500).

After looking at the way the vote counts were going it was pretty clear Klondike and Pandacoin used a bot over the last 24 hours, we were worried about diamond coin being taken out by them. It's also clear iOcoin and iXcoin probably have the same dev team, there votes would jump over 20 in a heartbeat and at the same times. I initially thought iCoin was part of the iOcoin and iXcoin but it looks like they were using the ANN,twitter and facebook to advertise this, so they also might have a lot of REAL votes.  Maxcoin who knows, I am sure smartcoin had REAL votes too.

The problem you guys will face is that if you remove the bot votes from iOcoin, iXCoin,Panda and Klondike there won't be much for charity.

There was a huge push from the pandacoin community on reddit and IRC in the last 24 hours. I think you'll find those votes are legitimate.

Checking for duplicate IP addresses, obviously fake/bounced emails, checking against the StopForumSpam and HTTP:BL lists (automatic disqualify if on those lists since they are mostly botnets and spambots), if it's a Tor node (they won't be disqualified just for being on Tor but will bring extra scrutiny to see if they are part of a larger pattern), and good old fashioned human looking for patterns in the times and emails. One of the most popular during this vote was reallookingname[somerandomcharacters]@outlook.com using Tor IPs, 85+ of those.

My guess for the true winning list.

1. Diamond
2. iCoin
3. Maxcoin
4. Smartcoin
5. Vertcoin

Getting out popcorn.

While it is good for the charity we also need accurate numbers. Whoever has the biggest wallet to spend on votes doesn't tell us anything about how many people would actually like to shop at stores using X coin Smiley

True enough I guess, how will you all be determining which votes were fraudulent?  IP addresses?
