Actually this is because you win 0.01 btc and then you say it is provably fair. The challenge is up when you lose much, will you still say it is provably fair? This is common thing for players saying it is provably fair at the start with a little bit profit
Right, this will lose general players, not for more players. If the site wants to have more players, don't try wager tournament.
More players is depends on how much promotion that your site can give to players. More giveaway and good promotions will be the best thing to attract more player to play on your site. So it does not matter of which promotion they make but AFAIK, most site open wagering contest to attract big whale to play on their site. And of course it is not fair for low players because they can't never win
