Buy digibyte, its a good investment. Its valued at 1 or 2 cents. I am sure ti has potential to go over 1$ in future.
there are a lot of coins that has a very potential future . But my best picks among them are Ripple (XRP) , Power Ledger (POWR) , Paypie (PPP) and NXT coin . I am very much optimistic that these coins will hit 10$+ in next year . You can buy these coins .
I'm equally looking at these coins you mentioned but what about glasscoin. I seem to be considering it first choice. I hope my choice will be good in 1 year time for me.

The problem with these cheap coins is that they are usually very recent and kind of unknown, so you can't really be sure that they will gain a lot of value in the next year. You best choice would be to go for the top 10 or top 15 coins on marketcap, and check for coins that are under $1, but already have a decent marketcap. Ripple is one of them, and you also have stellar and cardano. The problem with these coins, in my opinion, is that they have such a huge supply, that it will be hard to them to reach those huge values. I think that $10 would be to much with those coins, but maybe $3 or $4 would be possible. IOTA surely did it, and from those I've mentioned, my bet would go to Cardano, because I really like their project, and it has a great team behind them.
Check out ALIS. Japan-based "steemit" coins. I do believe the language was one of the barriers in Japan. So many of them cannot reach a good amount of resources on cryptocurrency. With their's platform who aim to give free "advertise" article and reward the contributor who made a good writing over there + if they get listed on their's national exchange (which is hard), I do believe Alis can break 1$ an onward.
Some people love nxt and ripple around these levels but my favourite one is espers. I tried its wallet and it works great. Some people pos it hard and its gonna pump 100x I believe..

Im rooting for Stellar Lumens since they are having an ICO next year maybe it will affect the price and it will go up. Stellar is getting better and better next is ripple. These two coins has a potential.

never ever ripple, i had a youtube discussion 6 months ago were i predicted that ripple loses value, it was at 0.5 usd back then,
my distrust with ripple was right then, and i wouldnt trust it today:
main reason:
its the communal banksters fraud and only if the banksters can ban all cryptocurrencies and have their private cartel they can be successful with ripple, which they try with bitlicense etc. but the people will not trust them and take them serious.
furthermore banksters have all behaved differently already, some insulted bitcoin and cryptos, others lobbyed their financial inquisition that gives out licenses and protects their cartels, others adapted butcoin futures,
banksters behaved so irritating that they wont be successful banning cryptos, therefore the banksters cryptocurrency (ripple) wont be successful
I don't trust ripple either. It's not truly decentralized. The banks who are using it will always flood the market with XRP when needed, to keep the cost of transactions down. I also personally don't think that banks are going to be able to compete with cryptocurrencies that do financial transactions for little to no cost internationally, not to mention most people are sick of banks making billions on checking and savings accounts fees. When the banks go, so does Ripple.

Most repeated alt-coin is Ripple. Price of ripple is quarter of $1, and that
price did not change all summer. This alt-coin is interesting for me cause many
people talks about Ripple, it falls in my eyes every time I come here.
For me personally NXT is better choice, but price of this alt-coins is good
for low investment types with long term period of waiting. I plan to buy both
of this alt-coins in near future.
I am holding CND and today it listing on first exchange Binance. I hope CND can x10 on next year

Like a lot of people here already said. I have to go with Stellar Lumens (XLM) for under a $1 coins that are going to boom in 2018. I'm putting about 30% of my portfolio into Stellar. I also like Cardano (ADA) and SiaCoin (SC) looks to be finally poised to break out of the under $.01 category. I also have my eye on one called DigitalNote (XDN). While XDN looked like a dead project at first, they actually have working products, and I just think the company has communication issues on the project status as they noted they are putting together funds for a marketing campaign. Personally, though, any established blockchain under $1 should see some pretty decent gains with all the capital flooding into the market. Finding the homerun like Bitcoin will be the challenge.
bitcrystal costs below 1$ and i think it has a good chance to come up a few $$ next year
Maybe you can look at Power Ledger , paypie, enigma and change , all of them is under $1 , I think it's have potential to rise more in 2018 , try to research and check it

Pura, Ripple, Golam are the good coins under 1$ price tag and can give much better return in percentage form rather then big marketcap coins as these coins can grow more due to their low price and market cap.

DeepOnion is more than 1 $ , but it still is a good coin to buy 
NXT right now is under $1 lately the price of NXT is reach $1 ++ but because of the bitcoin is not stable the price of other altcoin is going down too because of panic sell, yesterday NXT is sell for $0.5 and right now the price of NXT is $0.7 i think you can make the speculation about NXT price in next year
