I experienced that yesterday. I got paid for my management services and upon receiving the payment, ayun, di mai-convert unless mag-fill up nyang form.
Concern ko 'lang is, even if you choose the option na 'ikaw din 'lang yung nagpadala ng funds to your own coins.ph wallet', wala sa option yung mga external wallets like electrum/exodus and you'll be forced to choose an exchange in the list. I mean, not all transactions naman siguro goes through an exchange 'di ba? surely somebody from coins.ph should've thought of that.  Roll Eyes

pasok ko lang dito yong Post ng isang kababayan natin sa Pinas thread in which the added security verification ng Coins.Ph

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.57946658

I just experienced it now lang.

If you don't have a backup of the secret for the 2FA, then you should reset it now while you can and get another secret and then make a back up of that. Hindi yung backup codes, iba yun. Yung secret mismo.

Kasi sa Google Authenticator may mga back up codes at yun yung ise-save mo just in case na mawala yung pinag-installan mo ng Google Authenticator.

I really don't know. I have been able to access my coins.ph account from abroad no issues.

IMO, there's no problem regarding the KYC verification, since the start they never ask me to resubmit KYC maybe just because I only have a small amount in and out of the Coins.ph exchange/wallet platform.

One thing that I have a very annoying issue, yung app ni Coins.ph kusa nalang nag logout sa mobile phone ko.  What do you think is the possible cause of this?  Kakainis kasi kailangan ko pa mag login sa laptop ko para makuha ko yung verification code sa email ng Coins.ph ko which is I separate my Coins.ph email address account to my personal email address used which is on my phone.

Ano kaya possibling dahilan nito?

I used to be Level 4 verified. But hassle to keep updating with all their requirements naman and yearly pa. So they dropped me down to Level 3. I can stay there for now, wala naman issues kasi hindi naman ako lumalampas so far sa limits nila and if needed I can just wait the next day or the next 30 days if I need to buy/spend/sell more. One of these days I will re-apply just because I like to be at whatever is the top limit.

Then nag sara ... sayang.

  • Salamat @Dabs sa mga previous posts... Nahanap ko yung sim card ko at nung nilagay ko sa tablet, may lumabas na error ["sim not provisioned"] and since hindi na sya active, sinubukan ko nalang mag log in gamit ang email at VPN [UK IP] at naging success [so far, di pa sila naghihingi ng anything].

Not sure pero simula nuong inactivate ko yung 2FA, hindi na ako nakatangap ng codes through email [AFAICR].
- A great workaround while mas magiging safe yung account mo.

So I took a pic of the ID with my phone and sent that. Approved.
Hassle talaga itong coins.
Every year, pa verify.

Anyway, just ranting, kasi wala naman talagang ibang options but to comply.

Nah. The IPs I use are all outside the Philippines. It doesn't matter. Just use your regular normal ISP and don't get on tor or any VPN, although I think it shouldn't matter. I just used the app on my phone and took pictures of the required ID and bank statements (or credit card bill).

Yung bill was actually a PDF sent by email, so I just zoomed out and took a screenshot of one page with my name and postal address visible and then that's what I sent.

That's one use for it, if you are abroad and kept your globe or smart prepaid number (or got a new one), you can load it 10 pesos a year and it will stay alive. I actually do it every 6 to 10 months, at meron at least 100 pesos left in my account, so I have enough to make it last 10 years. But I usually put in more later anyway ...
Nung time na umalis ako sa bansa, walang coverage yung roaming ng Globe dito kaya di ko sya niloadan yung mga huling araw at kahit na recently nagkaroon sya ng coverage dito, I doubt na active pa yung prepaid sim card ko and on top of that, kailangan mahanap ko muna sya.

Every year, pa verify.

If you have no further intentions of using coins.ph then you just convert all your fiat into BTC or any other coin there, then withdraw it all. I leave a few because I use it to load my prepaid mobile phones (globe, smart, touch mobile, talk n text) and to pay some bills and withdraw cash to some bank accounts.
