CoinTerra is proud to announce the specs of our first ASIC chip – GoldStrike1 (aka GS1)

GS1 is a 28nm chip and will be one of the highest performance ASICs in the Bitcoin mining world with a hash rate greater than 0.5TH at a power consumption of significantly less than 1 watt/GH.

The GS1 chips are expected to arrive late Q4 2013.

Our website will be ready to take preorders later this month with a range of products involving one or multiple units of the GS1.

This is all the info that you can provide?

They forgot to mention it also comes with homemade chocolate chip cookies.

Yeah, but what kind of chocolate chip cookies?

Read what they said:

Yeah that is not specs.  That is a ballpark estimate.

It would be like AMD saying.

Our 9970 GPU will have a largish amount of transistors and moreish than 5,000 TFLOPS in OpenCL performance and TDP will be 100W to 1,000W or so. Oh and it will be one of* the most powerful GPUs in the world.

What the hell is this "reserved" business?  Is it like ticket scalping or BFL pre-orders that we can sell on ebay?

For sale:  Post number 7 on CoinTerra's announcement thread.  Buy It Now for 1.5 BTC.  Details at zombo dot com.

Any idea of price per GH/s?

I am trying to decide to wait for you, or order through KnC.

If you are ok with discarding your KNC product in a couple of months after purchase, then go for it.

I read your first reply and am excited to see your prices when they are released. I will wait for you before making a decision anywhere else.

Once their price is in, it's a fairly straightforward business-school exercise to calculate the better deal.  Of course, that calculation requires one to know when the two might arrive, and since they're both pre-orders, nobody knows that.

Thus, the best answer is:  if both offer refund, buy 'em both.  When one provides you with your hashing solution - or fails to do so in timely, "promised" fashion- refund appropriately.  (Where appropriately might actually mean both).

So where are the specs?  Weird I know to expect some specs not ballpark estimates in a threat titled "specs".
