CoinTracking - Crypto Portfolio & Tax Management
Here's something I'd like to see, as I think most people heavy into Bitcoins would also think this way.
I tend to not worry about the value in fiat until I want to cash out some of my coins.  So I prefer to see how many coins I have rather than the value of them in fiat.
Exactly what you see on many sites, for example here in the third graph:
http://my-btc.info/stats.php Your number of coins (not the value)

I noticed that it's kind of hard to see how many coins there are on most of the pages.  Maybe an option for that on the graphs or somewhere that it will just show the total in coins?
Yes, that would be possible.
An alternative would be if you create more than one account, for example one for GOX, one for BTC-E, etc., and you join them together under settings.
So you can jump with one click to another account and have all trades of a market together.

I've seen a large list from coinchoose.com (they have API)
I list a lot of coins on my site www.WhereToMine.com too - but, I don't have an api set up yet
The coinchoose.com page looks pretty confusing Smiley
I think I'll stay with www.cryptsy.com, it's very nice to read the info out there.

Something else I just noticed.  Where it does show the coins amount, it's only going to 2 decimal places.  That really needs to allow for more.
You mean the "My account overview" box, right?
Yes, this is intentional. I want to keep the view compact.
On all other pages, all coins are displayed with 8 decimal places and of course the system always calculates with all digits Smiley
I just tried it. If I install in the box all decimal places, it looks too much and very confusing.
The box is only for the overview as the name says and 20.00 BTC looks better than 20.00000000 BTC Smiley

I've found www.cryptsy.com to be helpful for alt-coins. They have most, if not all of them. I don't know about an export feature but it does have an API
Thank you, this site and the API is great! I hope the site will exists for a long time.
They have currently 27 alt-coins, 13 of them I already have, the other 14 I will add to MY-BTC.INFO in the next days Smiley

mcxnow is the best trading site for me because it is incredibly fast and stable which is the most important for multiple low risk trade.
I'm trying different new altcoins so if there is any that is not supported, I can't properly use your tool.
For example worldcoin
OK, I will look if mcxnow has an export function. If yes, it should be possible.

It's impossible to add all alt-coins 'cause it looks like currently every day there comes a new one ;-)
But I will try to build in more coins like worldcoin, ripple, etc.
But first I have to find a good site with the current exchange rates.
Vircurex is very good and easy to read out, but they don't have worldcoins, etc.

Hi mate,
Could you add the support of all existing alt-coins ?
Could you add the support of mcxnow.com ?
Cheers
Hi,
currently my site supports 13 different alt-coins. Which coins would you wish?
Are there many people on mcxnow.com, because I don't knew this site? And do they have an export function?

The promised feature is ready.
As of now, your stock can be transferred directly via the Mt.GOX API into your MY-BTC account.
This saves the annoying uploading of the GOX CSVs.

Have fun with it. Dario

Would be nice to have some localization options for the numbers/currency and date formats.
Thanks for this note.
In the "My account overview" box you now have the format 1,000.00 for USD and 1.000,00 for EUR.
When I'm at home in the evening, I will insert this function to the other sites.
In the next few days, I will put a function into the settings, so that the user can choose, which format he likes to use (, or . for decimal and ',.- space or nothing for thousand seperator)

Got my coins entered manually, so it's good now.  Grin

Only other drawback I'm seeing so far is the site does not seem to offer any localization of the number formats.

Example, all my USD amounts are shown as follows:
1,03 USD
1,03 $

Which looks all wrong to me.  Too used to it displaying like this:
USD 1.03
$1.03

I would also imagine that larger amounts, say over a thousand, would be using the period as the thousands separator.  I'm used to the comma being used for that, or not using a thousands separator at all (my preference).

Would be nice to have some localization options for the numbers/currency and date formats.

You don't like to upload your CSV files from GOX every time?
Tomorrow I will release a feature that automatically imports your GOX trades into your MY-BTC account.
Happy trading Cheesy

Thanks,

the thing was, that the most users already had their current balance entered on my-btc.

But yes, it would be possible for the user to decide whether the current balance should be transferred or not.
I will build this feature the next few days.

Until then, you can manually enter the sum. You only have to do this once and it's just a few clicks Smiley

Interesting page.  Looks quite useful.

However, it doesn't include existing balance of wallets when you add them.  The current balance does show for the "running jobs" for the two wallets I've set it to track, but doesn't show anywhere else.  Is it supposed to be like that?  I would figure that if there is a current balance it would have added it in automatically so it shows elsewhere on the site in the totals and calcs.

Hello Dario,

Once again I'd like to thank you for the cool page, and your engagement.

I joined about a month ago on the website and I could finally throw away my selfmade spreadsheets ;-)
Totally awesome, as you have everything set up, with so much information on this site.
And all so compact, clear and much better than with my lists ;-)

The new features are great, especially the function to see my own purchases directly in history chart!
I'm absolutely excited about your tool.

All the best for you and my-btc.info Smiley

Fantastic! I was just coming back to this thread to ask what the best way to handle mined coins would be.
The promised feature is ready.
As of now, the wallet can be checked automatically and new transfers are automatically added to your account.

A specification of mining cost is also possible. And if selected, you will be informed about new trades via email.
http://www.my-btc.info/import/hash.php

This feature is currently only for BTC. Other currencies on request.
Tomorrow I will renew the Money Overview page, but for now I must go to bed  Smiley

PS: If you like the site, I would appreciate a little support in form of a donation.
happy trading

Great news for all miners and persons receiving donations.
A tool for automated tracking of BTC inputs and outputs is almost ready.

You can even get your mining costs automatically calculated.
And if you want, you will be notified by mail of the transfer.

Sit back and let your account tracking by itself Wink
Should go live tomorrow.
