? I've tapped out almost every local gun/army surplus store. I'm going to check walmart and see what they have, sometimes the actually have ammo in stock.
If you're only just starting to look at retail instead of surplus, don't forget about Dick's Sporting Goods or Gander Mtn. what about aluminum cased?
Can't reload it, can't reload steel cased.
Can't reload Berdan primed ammo (alot of European ammo is Berdan primed).
does the aluminum stuff have anything on it that will gum up my guns? or it just cant be reloaded?
I've heard tell of a few squib/hangfires from aluminum cased.. One of my buddies tried to shoot a .38 alum cased and it hung and he put a .357 right into the back of it.. At least he only got a bulged barrel out of it, didn't blow up..
The Aluminum cased it usually loaded really light, if you have a tight barrel, make sure they all make it out

I shoot a crapton of 7.62x39 and 5.56x45 steel cased wolf. It works just fine.
That's been my experience as well. Even the cheep 7.62X39 does well. I wonder how much of that is the AK? what about aluminum cased?

They had some great south African surplus.
The prvi PPU ammo is great as well.
Steel case is fine and all but the polymer/laquer gums up my sig p220.

Yeah, once I figure out why they cancelled my order without even notifying me..
I'm kind of nervous shooting my own reloads honestly, especially if its the first batch I've ever done.
Deprime, Prime, size, powder, seat bullet, crimp. You can't double charge .45 cases with universal, won't fit. Its pretty much fool proof unless you can't weigh powder or seat to the proper depth.. Take your time, its very straight forward, ammo is only 4 things stuck together (bullet, primer, powder, case).
I love shooting my own reloads, I have one finicky pistol that I pretty much have to reload for, but man its so much fun with the right custom ammo..
