Away on an extended break
Get a Ruger LCP. Perfect if the zombies come when you're in the office loo, you'll still have something to defend yourself.  Cheesy

Lol.  I guess you could call that failure to feed....

Any gun can kaboom with unknown ammo.  The little revolver didn't show what ammo was in it, but the other two you can tell the brass was reloaded at least once.  (burn marks on cases)  The bottom one has nice shiny brass, but all lead projectile.  (do they still sell those manufactured?)

Kabooms are no fun either revolver or semi.  At least with the top largest revolver you have a big hammer for the zombies!  They chew up those plastic guns pretty easy...  Wink

..  For a few more dollars you can get a revolver. (6 every time) that doesn't look that bad or have a nasty history of jams and ftf.  ..

Revolvers!!  Never leave home without one, they never fail..

.. to KABOOM!!! Wink

Why would anyone buy a highpoint.

For similar reasons for buying a cheap, milsurp rifle.  To give it to your unarmed neighbor when the zombies are knocking at the door.

(6 every time) that doesn't look that bad or have a nasty history of jams and ftf.  If you want a cheap semi auto, go with something like the bottom line rugers or Springfields, or.. or...  But personally I never buy a plastic gun to shoot metal bullets..  Bring on the 1911's!

I picked up a used ruger p89da.  Single/Dual action with a de-cocker with a 4" barrel.  Drives tacks at 25 yards feeds any steel/brass ammo you want to chuck in it.  AND you can pick up a used one cheap as those used plastic guns.

I'll admit they don't really look that good, but I buy guns to shoot.  I will make an exception some day when I can afford it:   i would like to buy an "heirloom" to pass down, like maybe a pair of 1911s with custom engraving, or a pair of revolvers or something, and have a custom case built, and then give to my son to pass down the line Smiley

With price comes quality manufacturing and reliability. I'd hate to draw my $200 gun in an emergency situation and have it malfunction. Protection is one thing that you really shouldn't skimp on. But it's also better than nothing if you're on a budget.

I've got a Smith and Wesson M&P in 9 and its one of my favorite guns I own. I'm not sure if it qualifies as cheap though (around 500 bucks.)

I think the Hi Points are probably reliable I could just never get over how they look, and I'm not sure I could trust my life to a 200 dollar gun.

Can you guys toss me some ideas for a new 9mm pistol? I'm looking for something thats not a glock or a taurus, something tactical, reliable, accurate, and inexpensive. Maybe a nice carry size 9mm would be ideal.

Hi-Point are American made guns with lifetime warranties (the life of the gun).  They're inexpensive.  My brother has a 9mm, and my brother-in-law has a .45

I went with the beretta fs92, i enjoy it very much.

1000rds 22lr was $45
6 bux a box for the american eagle .223
.30-06 was like $16 a box.

<3 walmart

Why didn't you buy a ton of the federal 50 packs of 22.  the 1000 round pack was 2.25 per 50..

At this point if I can get .22 for less then 4 cents a round out the door I consider myself lucky Wink.

i bought every box they had. (its stacked up, you just cant see it from that angle)
Ahh Wink.  You could have just went to the next Walmart Wink.  They have them spaced pretty close together these days Wink.
