Still there is no any rules about signature campaign or bounty campaign. I am not sure if you are going to manage btc campaign. Previously we have seen many porno ICO has been promoted here on this forum. I have not noticed any action against them or they had not tagged by any DT(if they were legit). So I think you can proceed with disclaimer since it a adult site. It would be more better if you add a warning/disclaimer on signature about adult or 18+. So people's will aware before click the link that they are going to visit porno/18+ website  from signature.

Next week: BTCT is full of scat porn links..
Such campaigns should have rewards in two separating parts:
One part will be paid in BTC, ETH, etc.
The rest part will be paid in token of those porn sites or specific free times to download HD porn videos from those sites for qualifying participants of those campaigns. Those free download times will be allocated after weekly check- and pay-day of those campaigns.
Then, bitcointalkers will have one more thing to entertain, and totally free.

It's just kidding, you can ignore it.  Tongue

My vote is go for it. You are simply providing a service to find and monitor participants to wear their signature. Some people may be offended or think it's out of place, they can disable signature ads and move on. It's a product/service that is legal and free to people in most parts of the world if I'm not mistaken so it's not really out of place.

As for past examples the best I can think of was this campaign Eroiy.io. It wasn't a site per say, but a coin dedicated to anonymous payments for Porn sites.

If anything would come up that they've been doing some shenanigans later on, could I get in trouble for marketing it here? Should I consider it in any way immoral to promote pornographic content here?

To answer these questions, I can only speak for myself and how I'd deal with it here on the forum. If they start doing Shady shit ( underage or non consensual videos, or theft) I would judge you only by how you handle things after you find out or it's brought to your attention. I have no doubt you would act appropriately in those cases so I don't have any worries there. The immoral question comes down to your own personal values, personally if they're here they have access to the internet and have been shown the way already.

I also can't see the forum having an issue, we've allowed at the very least cam girl promotions to be an ongoing thing. They likely still would be if not for a scammer being outed.

As far as I can remember, there were two Porn-related campaigns that had ran for a few months last year or last 2017.
One was handled by Yahoo (AFAIK).

Based form those, there shouldn't be any issue to the forum, DTs and the signature campaigners as long as the project is legal.
By the way, both were ICO-based startups; that said, the idea of advertising here in bitcointalk made sense.

I have no problem with pornsites and those sites' advertisements in the forum.
I have only several worry about them:
- Pornsites are one of the most dangerous in aspect of potential threats for visitors, virures, malwares, trojans, and other threats to visitors.
So, if you make sure that sites you aggreed to advertise for them are good pornsites, it is totally welcome. By saying 'good', I meant they are safe, without threats.
- And, if sites have options to pay with crypto, it is amazing for porn-lovers. They can easily to pay for their favorite videos with crypto.
It is one of good way to spread crypto around and help it invading more into real life.

Best regards,

With both gambling and porn, there is an argument that both are harmful and unethical in various ways. I don't subscribe to the logic in making these arguments, however I do not find these arguments to be outright frivolous.

In addition to the suggestions of many above to make sure the signatures are not explicit, and to consider not linking directly to explicit material, I would suggest doing due diligence on the site itself. I would want to have confidence the site is not going to be spreading malware when visitors visit the site, nor when visitors try to download content, and does not have an excess amount of advertisements.

I do find it somewhat strange that a porn site would want to advertise here. I would not find bitcointalk the most effective venue to advertise on for this kind of business.

As most of you probably know by now, I like to listen to the community before I do anything definitive.

I've been approached about a pornsite who may want me to run a Signature Campaign here at Bitcointalk. Now there's nothing illegal with legit porn sites and as far as I know there's nothing against promoting such sites here either but I'd still like to hear what you guys think about it, would people apply? (With good payrates people don't seem to care what they advertise but still). If anything would come up that they've been doing some shennanigans later on, could I get in trouble for marketig it here? Should I consider it in any way immoral to promote pornographic content here?

Feel free to discuss, I'd prefer it to be on topic and without multiple posts about "Your campaign, your decision" etc. One post is enough and different opinions are always welcome.

If there is no illegal video on the site, then I don’t see any problems.
I would agree to advertise this.

Better to advertise a porn site than any scam.

would it be wrong to announce a darkweb store that sells drugs and other illegal products in most countries? I mean, would the forum ban such a campaign?

I'd assume yes.

11. No linking to illegal trading sites.
17. Trading of goods that are illegal in the seller's or buyer's country is forbidden. [2]

Will the site accept payments using bitcoins? Is it a livecams site? I believe that if there is no image or content that is illegal, there would be no problem. But I'm curious about your questioning and about the lack of rules, would it be wrong to announce a darkweb store that sells drugs and other illegal products in most countries? I mean, would the forum ban such a campaign? I believe that with the new European rules, the mods will need to establish some rules for the forum.

I think that before watching porn sites, people should be informed that the porn is addictive and causes erectile dysfunction.
You can watch the video about the effect of porn on men. Subtitles are available in 23 languages:

I have no problems with it, but you may want to consider following theymos' rule from Advertise on this forum - Round 272:
Ads may not link directly to any NSFW page.
It's nice to get a NSFW-warning after accidentally clicking a link.

Interesting, do you know if these rules only apply for the auctioned off ads that theymos runs or for all ad campaigns? A landing page that asks if you want to continue to the NSFW site may be necessary otherwise.

I believe they only apply to the forum ads. AFAIK theymos does not have any rules that signature ad campaigns must follow. I think I would go with the landing page to be on the safe side though, as people could accidentally click on it. Many countries also have laws that require sites with 18+ content to request the user's age before letting them in.

Shocked Am I now going to start seeing a scantily clad woman in a bunch of people's signature space? The WO thread is bad enough with all of the "double bottoms" and "green dildos." Now my partner is really going to wonder what the hell I am doing.  Angry

I don't see any issues, as long as the signature itself remains "classy". You might want to add an 18+ disclaimer in the signature to prevent certain people from complaining.

Yeah the Signature would be something more discrete, and would most likely contain a NSFW and/or 18+ disclaimer just to be on the safe side. Thanks!

I have seen a campaign previously for an adult site afair, but I forget the name.

Just make sure nothing is visible through the avatar & signature...  Cheesy

That's good to know, thank you for linking those rules as well! And for sure, there would be no pornographic content in the Signature, hah.

I would personally not have any problems with that sort of advertising, nor with you running a campaign for a porn site.  You would not lose one iota of respect in my eyes.  I'm indifferent as far as pornography goes--consenting adults are free to do what they wish as long as no one is harmed, and if the porn is legal there shouldn't be any issues.  And if I'm not mistaken, there have been campaigns for sex-related services/sites/etc. on bitcointalk.

You'll most certainly get enough applicants.  There's been a dearth of signature campaigns in the past year, so members are slobbering all over themselves when a new one finally pops up.  There might be some people who won't join due to religious or moral objections, but I'd anticipate as many applications as you'd get with a gambling or ICO project campaign.  Good luck, bro.

Yeah I've also noticed that the drop-off in campaigns has been significant not only with the numerous pages of applications I get whenever I post a new one. Thank you!*

I wouldn’t have a problem with you working for them Hhampuz, I also wouldn’t have a problem wearing their signature myself. As long as it’s normal 18+ porn then whatever, go for it buddy!

Haha, yeah this is a "normal" (normal for me and you may be somethign else for someone else) consenting porn so should not be an issue.

I prefer a porn site to another gambling site.  Count me in.

Indeed, I do find some similarities with the porn and gambling industry but I'm sort of getting tired with the numerous gambling campaigns I already promote, something fresh would be interesting. I'll be in touch Lesbo Wink

Just out of curiosity: does the site accept Bitcoin? If they don't, I don't expect them to earn much from advertising here.

They do accept a few different crypto currencies from what I gathered, will do some more research on that one though.

Porn is a big business just like the gambling or casino industry. There is nothing wrong or immoral about it. The privacy site Verge has a partnership with one of the biggest porn sites for example and you can pay on-site with Verge. I wouldn't mind wearing a signature promoting a porn site as long as it is done with class and is stylish.

I’m currently in one of your campaigns Hhampuz. I’d be absolutely fine with a porn company advertising here as long as the avatar & sig wasn’t graphic then it’s all fair game.

Btw I’d like to join the campaign when it starts. The Bitvest pay rate sucks Cheesy
