Absolutely, and Forum launched tomorrow and blog.

You listed it at coin-swap , but when do you plan listing in real exchanges , such as Bittrex, Mintpal, Poloniex...

I feel your pain bro, so many orphans for you, thats why you so upset.  Cry

As the wallet image I posted shows, with the multiple blocks being generated per second by the artificially low diff, the only thing generated were orphans. The only one that had a chance of solving blocks that are generated that quick would be a rig with a very low latency close to the main node. It would not surprise me in the least if it turns out the 'dev' simply insta-mined all those blocks using a LAN computer next to the source.
It's more likely that a pool which had the majority of the mining power simply overtook the chain you where on and orphaned your coins, very common at launch.

Solo mining on a CPU is always going to be hard after the first few seconds which is why we all use pools, people don't like orphans and so join pools. While you're working on a block a pool has discovered it and then 20 more and so you lose all yours.

I noticed that one of the pools had 80% of the hashrate for a few hours which would create a massive amount of orphans for people.

No way around that, other than giving pools the source early and letting them set up and test, but then you have to rely on them not instamining themselves.

It seems this coin generated quite a lot of interest and therefore hashing power very early on, which inherently causes these problems.

For an experienced miner, absolutely! But you gave us a great idea. We can build in another option: CPU pool mining - totally automated! Let us work on this idea.

It's useless to mine CYC with CPU, unless you have a botnet.

I am well aware of that fact. The Dev seems to think that people will be able to SOLO CPU mine CYC with the wallet. I was simply pointing out the futility of that thought.

It was, i agree. They shoulda never launched the coin. It's really dragging down the thread.

Just a small demonstration on the futility of trying to CPU mine CYC with external cpu miner at a pool. 30 minutes and ZERO accepted shares. Solo cpu miners will never hit a block. You cant even get a share accepted at a pool. You can try to implement pooled mining from the wallet, but really you would just be wasting your time......

It would not surprise me in the least if the 'dev' simply insta-mined all those blocks using a LAN computer next to the source.

I don't think so ,because at the time of launch mine-coin.de remain mining about 30-40% losts with. So I think that is the reason solo miner to get most of the orphans. Correct me If I'm not right Smiley

I've been mining for more than an hour at 2.5MH/s and only have 0.78 unconfirmed coins... is this normal??  Seems low to me.  I'm using stratum+tcp://stratum1.suchpool.pw:3345

It seems like it is taking long time to accept new threads... mining DRK seems to accept threads much faster versus CYC... maybe it is suchpool?

Any recommendations?
