Busoni of Poloniex raised that as a technical issue which we resolved, so it wasn't hidden as you make out! The source was on the first page at launch and now on Github so where was the deception? KGW was an option we considered but decided with DGW which didn't have some of drawbacks as KGW. PoS is something we will add.
As for putting everyones' coins at risk, that's laughable! How many years would there be to fix the issue? Bitcoin has a potential reward issue in many years too!
Extensive premining can lead to pumping and dumping, and we wanted to avoid that issue. Our solution is much fairer.
Nice little bit of rhetoric: "How can anyone in good conscience trust anything more you have to say?"
Likewise:
"How can you trust Litecoin when 450,000 coins were mined in 12 hours?"
"How can you trust Vertcoin when 600,000 coins were mined in 24 hours?"
"How can you trust Darkcoin when 52% of the coins were mined in just over 24 hours?"
Dude, this is all wearing thin! If you don't like the coin, move on!
"Dude"... I doubt very much that you are stupid. So, we both know that the vast majority of users do not look at the source code. So, you hid the fact you had this code in the wallet and only came clean after it was revealed and in a way which many would have overlooked.
Also, as you are not stupid, you will probably know that it is not really a good idea to point out possible failings in other coins to justify your own actions and lack of work on the code.
However, I am sure most of the people that mine and trade this coin will either not read this post or simply not care...
It may be wearing thin... for me it is.
I just hope that everyone else reading this thread will start to question the devs about their code and intentions behind it. It is not as if we are stuck for choice of coins to partake in and your attitude would indicate you either don't care about that or the people that will be mining coins for you...
I will "move on", thanks for the tip.
