Hello everyone,

I am doing Trading since last 3 to 4 years And in this journey i have seen many updowns(profit and losses), But recently from few weeks i am loosing  my money continuously with the same strategy  i have been using since last 2 years. I don't know what happened to me. So please anyone can guide me through this situation, it will be very helpful for me.

Thank you.
Then stop using that "strategy" you have been using for the past 2 years. It worked before because you either got very lucky, or the strategy was suitable for the market back then. The crypto market is very volatile and keeps on evolving. See what's going wrong with your trades. When you trade, it doesn't mean that you only buy and sell. When trading you should also analyze your own trades. Learn from those mistakes. Try to avoid them in the future.

The thing with bitcoin and crypto trading is that you have to be dynamic and adapt to the market, the volatility of it forces us to constantly switch our strategies and try every way to maximize our profits and minimize the losses, and i am actually pretty surprised that your strategy didn't fall off 3 years ago and you stuck with it, but if it worked yoiu should take that strategy and improve on it see what worked and what is not working and add on it.

Cryptocurrency has suffered a huge loss from the dollars I have invested in the sudden downturn in the cryptocurrency market. But in this case I have no choice but to be patient. I invested Binance coin per 430 dollars and sol per 180 which already down to 350 and 130 respectively.

Maybe you should consider changing the strategy that you have been using. You know that the cryptocurrency market is so volatile, so things can change at any moment. You don’t have to be relying on one strategy at all times, you steady have to be reforming it. It is just like someone who discovered a strategy and was able to use it to make about $20,000, but as time goes on he realized that the strategy wasn’t working anymore, and he started losing, then he had to stop making use of that strategy and look for another strategy to use. That’s to show you how fast the market can change at anytime. So, change your strategy.

If your strategy is not working then its time to change your strategy and its never advisable to apply the same strategy to different market condition, you have to adapt to the current market situation and trade according to that. If you are still having hard time at finding the profits then just take a break and redefine your strategies and also let your mental strength to recover from bearing all the losses.
Or maybe she does not need to trade like the other people because if she continuously losing from trading, she is not qualified in trading and it is better to be an investor. She needs to leave trading a while to refresh her mind and search for what is causing the loss. Changing her strategy could be a way to see if she still loses or can make a profit but at this time, take a break for a while will be a good solution. Besides that, the market now is not good for trade and that can cause her to get more losses if she can not be careful.
If the user cannot afford to lose anymore money for trading then better leave it and find the other way to make money but one who is willing to trade but don't know how to make it has to redesign the strategies and comeback stronger which may need break for someone or not whicb solely depends on every individual and the affordability.

Trading strategies aren't holy grails, with changing markets and changing circumstances, they change, you should analyze what has changed in markets that have made your strategy useless, is it the shift in momentum? or is it the changing volumes or is it some problem or tweaking in your executing that has changed? What I feel is that trading strategies have to be changed with the shift in market momentum, a strategy that worked in a bull run might not work in the bearish phase of the market, while you should continuously tweak your strategy as per market keep two-three different strategies at all times, so that you aren't relying heavily on just one strategy.

Well this is normal in the sense that nobody can predict the movement of cryptocurrency by 100%. But in a situation whereby you are losing frequently, then something is really wrong now you have to do something about it to fix it. Maybe you should change your strategy that you are making use of, or there is something that you need to learn which you haven’t.

So, take your time and go through that, and don’t forget that the market is very volatile than other type of trading That you can do, so this is not just something that has to do with technical analysis, sometimes fundamental analysis has to be part of it.

The answer lies in your question. You said you are using the same strategy from the past 2 years.
What strategy works in a bull market might not work in a bear market and vice versa.
The same strategy won't work in all the market trends. As time goes by different players enter the market and so we have to keep changing our strategy if it isn't working for us.
Also, the past few weeks were not so good for the whole market since bitcoin kept falling from $50k to $40k.
So that may be another reason for your losses. You should never sell at a loss and keep holding to sustain your profits.

There is no specific strategy will work in trading and I first time heard of you. For 3-4 years it's long time you involved in crypto trading but suddenly why losses continuously in few weeks It's easy to find for yourself because you didn't mention here which strategy you followed.
I suggest you have to quit for some days then change your strategy.
we should not blame our strategy meanwhile we didnt diciplinely doing basic trading rules such as make trading plan and other factor. some traders easy to changes their strategy while its not work for them , but forget how to developt it as powerfull and profitable strategy. evaluate and improve every single mistake we made from trading plan was a way how to get better result in our trading journey. better have a weapon but we know how to use it so it could be very profitable.

You should re-examine the current state of the market, the old strategies may no longer be effective because the market is very volatile. So you need to update your strategy according to market conditions. In every situation we have to really analyze and apply the right strategy, even though it is difficult to predict but profit opportunities are still open for traders who learn from experience.

I hope you know that market situation changes and during bull run, it's always better to hold than been a trader, you will loose big profits because its this time we have mad profits in few days, going with holding than trading would be better and again, if you are actually trading altcoins, it is better you scalp them and forget the minor support and resistance, though the major support and resistance should be noted.
Again, it's better you trade coin/tokens that has more bullish momentum than others, not the Inez that has been pumped, you will loss because a lots if investors would dump it on you.

He has said it has been almost 3 to 4 years trading crypto, and the problem is that the strategies he uses are no longer effective. I agree with what you said that scalping for the current state of the altcoin is preferred and it is not recommended to hold too long. Seeing the situation that was quite unfavorable, CL also needed to be taken as a final action.

I remember the time that I was also in the same situation where I am continuing to lose money in crypto trading alone. I mean a lot, seriously. However back then, I didn’t have much knowledge trading but just simply going on with the latest trends in that specific coin or token. Also back then, I didn’t have some sort of risk management.

Because of losing a lot of money, I was depressed. But yes I was still a newbie back then and didn’t do a lot of research. It took me a long while to get back on track and finally learned my lesson. Only invest and trade on what we can afford to lose and manage risks carefully. And don’t go all in as well!

Right now even if I am losing a lot, I’m not kinda depressed anymore because of changing my mindset that I treated it as “dead money”.

Everyone must have experienced a situation where they experienced continuing losses. Even professional traders experience the same thing when
the first time trading, it is usually experienced when we do not have sufficient knowledge and experience. Therefore, to be able to become
a successful trader and minimize the amount of loss when trading. Must learn all about crypto first before deciding to trade, so we know how to
choose good coins for trading and can analyze the market well.

I think if a particular strategy is not working again them I believe you should change it, maybe due to current market situation that's why your strategy is no more functional then do more research and try to change your strategy. I cryptocurrency I don't even believe one strategy will work for you foreve since the market changes then you strategy should also change if the formal one is not yielding you more interest again.
we should not change our strategy too soon, better to evaluate it and find in which part this strategy was not work for us. sometimes our mental and psychology that uncontrolled could be this reason, even our trading system was the best but as long as mental still uncontrolled it will destroyed.
From his initial share, this strategy has been applied no less than a few times and after so many losses, swapping to another strategy is a suitable requirement, talking about finding the mistake and correcting the old plan, it's not the right job for him when if he'd appreciated enough and was clear about the mistake, we wouldn't have had this discussion. And note that strategy includes all psychological and mental planning, cannot blame these factors and cast doubt on the outcome of the strategy.

Unless it were all downs, then you should be fine since you mentioned that you're having up and downs. Trading isn't all about profits, OP. Even the experienced ones get losses to and not just you.
Consider learning other strategies as well. Are you day trading or is it another strategy?

Still kudos for that longevity of continuous trading. I never lasted a week doing that strategy, and that's why I just did long-term holding.

Repeated losses in trading is never a good scene anymore. You have to find new indicators that will help your trading end sup successful. And might as well revise your old strategy as its not helpful anymore. You may check new strategies that can adopt to the market's current condition and definitely develop them. The market will never stop from changing so you also have to learn to adjust so you can cope up with its never ending changes that will still make you successful in the end.

Can you please describe briefly that what  is your mistake. Are you doing futures trading? Futures trading is a very risky game. So please don't try it. just do spot trading. And brother first learn and then start trading. Trading is not an easy task. So learn the technical analysis and fundamental analysis and then think before take any trade. Then you will not lose your money in trading.
