If you find it necessary to control your temper in anything, then you should not be doing it. Why would anyone allow themselves to become so emotionally vested in something that has nothing to do with them personally.

While you are correct, to reach a detachment so great from your hard earned money is something that is a problem not only for gamblers but for regular people too.

I have tackle this loosing temper problem by a simple trick which is working for me. Why we loose temper if we talk about sports betting because we keep chasing match and we watch everything in context of out bet instead of enjoying match. Now I select the match place bet and stay away of that match. Any situation doesn't effect me same thing can be applied in many gambling games.

Yeah maybe you're right. Self-control is needed in gambling to avoid greed, and really as you say that greed would make us losers and suffered heavy losses. I also gamble in small quantities because I can gamble a few times so I can enjoy the game. I played maybe only twice a month and usually if I'm in need of comfort and want to play like poker and blackjack.

There's not much we can do to avoid temper normal human being must have temper that come suddenly especially when gambling
Gamblers angry when lost while playing it means he's not ready to lose. did you ever see in real casino gambler lost? they usually do not get angry
so they are ready to lose and win so it can accept any condition well that's what we have to prepare when gambling.

Emotion is high when you are winning or losing in gambling. When I am losing in consecutive manner, I stop playing. I just let my attention focus to other chores and return to playing when my mood is ok. I just learned my lesson before, and gambling is a good gauge to control yourself.

I do the same too but I am mainly a sports gambler and hence when I loose a few bets I get tempered and think that the match was fixed already and hence its really difficult to control the anger and temper. Anyways still I manage to come out of loss most of the times with my good knowledge of sports.

You are correct, gambling with your emotion is not good and in fact it is a recipe for disaster, I am not saying this based on what I hear and read from the others but this is merely based on my experience, now, I have a control already because I learn my lessons.

Agree, you would able to control your temper if you already realized and you already experienced the consequences of not having a good self control on your emotions. If you realise or experience these things for sure you would not need to do it again because you are already awared.

But I do agree that having a small capital in gambling is a good practice. That way you know that you've had enough if you reached that bottom or if that was doubled.

Having a small capital or maybe deposit just something you feel you have extra ( well, even though money never is extra lol ) and if you do so, you will never feel tempered because you actually lost just a small amount while you could have turned it big too.

It is also depends on the gambler you know? some of us that gamble will fit on those rules and guidelines but some of us will not. We know for ourselves what is the right thing to do for us not to be addicted in gambling because being addicted to it is really bad and will only bring troubles to us. Good points anyways.

To become angered or upset about a choice that they have made for themselves is simply stupid and should not be addressed by people here. They gave their money away and then asked how to not get upset about it? Come on, if you want to make money for yourself, invest it or work, if you want to give it to a casino, then do so, but do not complain about your own choices.

Yes this is really one of the main reason, If you have ever encountered pro gamblers you can really see that the emotional control looks so easy but it really isn't
