Messi himself who decided to retire probably because he failed to bring Argentine championship and missed a penalty not because he did not want to defend their own country but because he felt guilty and failed IMO
that way Messi looked like a respectable I like it that way.

If he wants to retire then he should do it and he does not have to prove him self any more. I am looking forward on how Argentina will do if they are not going to play with Messi.
Argentina still has allot of good players left so losing only Messi is not going to make a big difference.
