i dont egree with you because i watched this match and i saw messy played enugh but chili played so hard and only one messi cant do anyting with 11 people Argantina team mean isnt only messi and ehn match finished messy cried he was so sad he wanted to get this copa you can be sure.

chili won copa america 2016 but i sad it Argentina couldnt win this matct this match has so hard and so much foal and argentina couldn t play and messi couldnt find goal in penalty time because of messi decided leave from argenina teams it was so sad decided but messi was so emotional last night he cried when i see him like that i felt sad really.

Actually it is a good decision for him to retire, he needs to open up some space for the young players to have a chance on the national squad . However since he is retiring from the international squad , I wonder if finally argentina will be able to win the trophy
Frustation is normal especially for him, he is the one that carry the whole argentina team from the first round until the final game and he is the one that made argentina lose the final game. frustation is at the highest level for him and thats probably what made him finally decided to retire from international game

The Copa America 2016 final is pretty much the same as the CA 2015 final. We have the same Argentina vs Chile match-up, another 0 - 0 after 90 minutes and after extra time and once again Chile has won in the penalty shootout lol.

I think it's because his national team always lose in the final so many times and it's make him don't want anymore to play for his national team and choose retire.
after the end of copa america , we can say that Chilie surprises everybody after the winning on the final against Argentine , after penalties.
and the big problem that after 3 finals that played ,argentina don't win one of them . and like always Higuain failed to score face to face in all 3 times . bad luck for leo messi and Argentina teams .

I think Maradona's curse is following Messi , he wants to be better than Maradona but the history doesn't want , Maradona won the world cup with Argentina , but Messi didn't win any national teams competition till now , what a bad luck ? two times they lost penalty shoots with the same team .

Messi was a great player not only for argentina but also the world will miss him and his great skills. Although he the miss the plenty and maybe that lead to Argentina loss in the 2016 Copa America final, but thats does not say all about Messi. He has been around Argentina for a long time and Argentina has won quite a lot of matches only on his skills.

Messi is 29. Javier Mascherano also announced that he retired from national team. It's pointless if you go to final and lost every time. I support their decision. Argentina won't win anything without them, they won't even go to finals next tournaments.

feel sad for Argentina and the most is for messi,failed on 4 final (Copa 3 times,WC 1 time) its enough for messi,he decide to retire from international career,i can't believe this,but we alls ad for him. this is cannot believe he miss the penalty,i wish he play on next world cup 
Argentina is not going to win any trophies if Messi is still playing
once Messi retired, then Argentina will win a trophy. So if you want to see Argentina win the next world, you need to ask the manager not to bring Messi. Just my feeling though..
When he leaves the other great players have more freedom which is a good thing.
What kind of logic is this? When Messi is on the field all players keep an eye of him, that gives spaces to other players and they have more freedom. When Messi is out other players can't find that much space. Your logic is failed so hard. Argentina without Messi can't even pass quarter final in World Cup.
I just read that Lionel Messi is retiring from the Argentina national team and from international football basically. It's very unfortunate for his country's team because Messi can be a one man team by himself and he has been carrying his teammates during numerous matches and now apparently times are changing for Argentina and their team won't be anymore what it used to be when Messi was around. But Messi has the right to decide what's best for him so good luck in his future endeavors at Barcelona I guess. I don't think Argentina will be such a big favorite in future games on international level any more.
