The Argentina team won this match due to the only goalkeeper Mertínez, he saved a lot of balls. Nobody was also expecting messi to miss the penalty against ecuador, and his panenka is hitting the bar. I don't know what is the basis for you saying that Argentina is targeting a narrow victory, if indeed they can achieve a big victory to guarantee their qualification for the semifinals, in my opinion, what happened on the field today is not what you said, indeed Argentina was the favorite team before the match started,however they were actually surprised by the tight resistance from Ecuador from the start of the match, previously  I predicted that Argentina would win easily in that match, but what I thought was the opposite of what was on the field, Argentina, which was leading 1-0 in the first half, still Even though they were still pressing Ecuador defense, Ecuador was still able to block every attack carried out by Argentine players.

In the second half of course you could see how Ecuador increased the intensity of their attacks and in the end a late goal from Rodriguez in injury time was able to force Argentina to continue the match until the penalty kick, both teams had fairly balanced game statistics both in terms of possession of the ball and also the opportunities created, so that Indeed what you say if Argentina is just looking for a narrow win is of course wrong in my opinion because that will only put them at risk of failing to qualify.

Argentina wanted to win this match by a narrow margin. Therefore, Argentina did not attack much in this match. Argentina's players were more focused on keeping their defense strong. Martinez the hero in a penalty shootout once again. Seems like he saves 50% of the penalties he faces, that second penalty stop was amazing, big left hand, wow. The dance after was pretty funny too.

Two games tonight, I expect Colombia and Venezuela to go through but at this point who knows. The best game is the day after though, Uruguay vs Brazil.

I think Argentina played taking for granted that they would win the game and this become even more clear after they scored the goal.They thought they had already won the game at that point and only careless play followed until additional time where they managed to equalize.Then it become interesting and even more when penalties started with Messi losing the first one,Argentina was lucky yesterday and they managed to qualify further yet the game was not at all convincing.

If not because of Argentina's goalkeeper Argentina would have been eliminated from the Copa America, let be honest Argentina's performance was not that good in this match, many people think Argentina is the only favorite to win this Copa America but for me, as long as Brazil and Uruguay are the in the tournament Argentina can not be the only favorite team to win the title, Argentina can not defeat Ecuador? Where are the Messi fans who are laughing at Ronaldo when he misses a penalty in euros against Slovenia? I had the same thought. Argentina played quite impressively during the group phase. Even, they still had a good performance though they had to play without Messi in the match against Peru. However, in the match against Ecuador, Argentina really faced very fierce resistance from their opponent. They still looked good throughout the first half but, after the second half, Ecuador seemed to be putting quite tight pressure on Argentina, and I think Argentina was very lucky because Ecuador failed to take advantage of a penalty in the 62nd minute.

If you compare the two teams relatively, you will see that Argentina team did not perform well. Because the players of the Argentina team are experienced and have won the World Cup, but usually the main stage draw with the Ecuador team. Because in comparison, the Ecuador team players were working hard. If there was more time, Argentina would have lost. It surprised me when messi missing his penalty, i thought argentina was done for. And then, Martinez stepped up to the plate, and he gave big thing his club. Argentina beat Ecuador to reach the semi-final. They are getting closer to meeting Colombia or Uruguay in the final. But, the battle will be fierce for Argentina. Colombia and Uruguay are looking more solid. Kudos for argentina after beating ecuador in the penalty.

Argentina were leading the match by 1-0 but it was the last minutes goal by Kevin Rodriguez from Ecuador that level the match and we moved into the penalties.
From that moment onwards, I was confident that Argentina will win through penalties as their Goalkeeper is far more experienced and he was looking to stop every penalty.

Messi missed the first penalty and Ecaudor has the slightest of hopes but it was soon finished when Ecuador missed the first two penalties and it was impossible coming back in the match for them.

I was totally shocked to see Ecuador perform against Argentina, this match started around 2am in my country time which everyone knows that it was midnight in our side that was the only reason I couldn't watch the match till end but a surprise to me to see they even ended in extra time and the penalty was taken, I wasn't expecting it to end like this, my thoughts was that Argentina will win the match freely without any stress but unfortunately it turned another way round but thank to EMLIANO Martinez that did a very great job by saving them again like the way he did previously in 2021 COPA America, 2022 WORLD Cup, and again 2024 COPA America, he is indeed a THE MOST CLUTCH GOALKEEPER IN THE WORLD.

There are some that HARUD might have maximized their current performance and match schemes because they see from what happens in terms of performance, Argentina seems to be still less optimal in terms of teamships and teamwork and even for some of their players still like prioritizing individual skills themselves and hope More to Leo in his game.
