Overall, if I'm to rate the teams in this competition it'll be;

In this very order. Brazil would need a miracle to make it to the next round of the competition.

Brazil really played badly in the 2024 Copa America. For a team of Brazil's level I think this is their worst squad in the tournament. They even struggled in the group stage. They will face Uruguay in the semifinals and without hesitation I choose Uruguay to win the match.

No doubt Argentina is the favorite to win this quarterfinal and if somehow Ecuador manages to win that it will be a big upset. Also Argentina will want to win this Copa America 2024 as they already hold the Fifa World Cup title with them that they won in Qatar in 2022.

Doing a bit of analysis between the two teams, Argentina finished first in Group A and they did not lose any match so far. However, Ecuador finished 2nd in Group B. They won only one match, had a draw in another and faced a loss in one match too and yet they are here in the Quarterfinals with Argentina. I would call them a bit lucky here as Mexico also had the 4 points but they failed to qualify by a very close margin only.

I agree with you. Mesi was rested the last match against Peru due to his injury, hopefully he can return tomorrow against Ecuador. At the same time, coach Lionel Scaloni will return to the dugout, but Messi's starting XI is still uncertain. However, his playing potential is high and he has been seen in practice. I've said it before that main problem if the Brazilian national team isn't the lack of good players but lack of a well experienced manager that can come up with a good tactical approach to make the players reach their full potentials while donning the Brazilian shirt.
Now they'll have to face Uruguay in the quarter finals of the Copa America and despite Brazil's superior number of talented quality footballers, I think they're very beatable against the Uruguayan team who plays more like a team than relying on individual brilliance to win games. Bookmakers without doubt will back Brazil to win that particular game but I won't be surprised if they're beaten by Uruguay at the end of that game.

I do not agree with you and I can tell you why. The last three times Argentina met Ecuador, they have not scored more than 1 goal in each of those encounters which two were world cup qualifiers and one was a friendly match. In the world cup qualifiers, which were crucial matches, Argentina won one match and drew one. Going by this analysis, it is expected that Argentina will score just 1 goal and that puts the match in a dicey position that an equalizer from Ecuador will result to a draw and possible extra time from which point anything can happen. The only exception to this is if Argentina can score more than one goal, in that case they have a clear chance of winning the match at full time.

That's really weird. I didn't know this.
I just searched about this and found out that it will only be the final match that can have extra time if the regular time ends in a draw.

I am not sure, but this decision may have been made to encourage the teams to attack more and try to win the match in the regular time.

Uruguay - Brazil match is attracting my attention the most.

Both teams are strong ones in this tournament. But Brazil just can't do what they planned exactly unfortunately. Especially that effort against Colombia was so poor.

Uruguay are in a great form on the other hand. They are destroying every obstacle by playing very effectively. I really wonder how good Brazil defenders will handle Uruguay attackers. I expect both to score in regular time but can't predict the winner comfortably. By the way as of the quarter finals there is no extra time, it is directly going to penalty shootouts - except the final.

Argentina managed to qualify for the quarter-finals with perfect results by winning three times in three matches and they even managed to score five goals and not concede once, so this really shows that Argentina attack line is quite dangerous and is supported by a strong defense line, si that it looks like it will be difficult for Ecuador to break the negative trend of never winning over Argentina in their last few meetings, while Ecuador, who did qualify for the quarter-finals, of course had to go through a difficult match by achieving 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss so they had to satisfied with qualifying as runner up group B.
