It is often said that 3rd place is usually more glorious than the second place, because there is always joy in the faces of those that win the 3rd place, while those that finished second always end the tournament with tears and regrets. That's why Canada and Uruguay gave their all in that particular match. Yes it's third place but they are going to win bronze medal. They wanted to finish the competition on a high note and give something to their fans. Sometimes when it comes to international football, each country wants to defend their flag and maintain bragging rights. The players will also want to entertain the fans who have sacrificed everything to come and cheer up the national team. That was why the game was so spectacular. Canada of late are proving to be a strong team, they want to change the narratives of how people have been viewing them when it comes to football. If they continue to develop the way they are going, they will lift the Copa America in the nearest future.

Honestly speaking, the performance of Canada national team in this summer's Copa America have been very surprising if you ask me. In a competition that involves some the best football nations in the world, they were still able to reach the last four and if not for Luis Suarez's 92nd minute strike, Canada would left the tournament with the bronze medal.  Despite not winning the game last night against Uruguay, I think the Canadian players and technical team will leave the tournament with their shoulders high because of their unbelievable performance in the competition.
Tonight, we watch the two finalists Argentina and Colombia trade tackles against each other and just like bookmakers have predicted, I think it's going to end in favour of the Argentines but that doesn't mean that Colombia can't pull a surprise

I think the most meritorious in this match was Suarez, because he managed to equalize the score in the final minutes. However, i was annoyed with Suarez because he just made a mistake because he failed to take advantage of the previous opportunity in the final minutes, he should have tried to pass at that time and not try to score a goal, but luckily for Suarez because in just a matter of seconds, he managed to pay for his mistake by scoring. Congratulats to Uruguay for this dramatic win.

I really appreciated Canada's effort in the match for the 3rd place to tell the truth.    They played fearless and could have even won without extra time and more. But Luis Suarez's life saver in the stoppage time led to Uruguay's finishing Copa America as the 3rd.

By the way Suarez is still a beast though.    He is 37 years old but still cooking. He has been continuing to score many goals in a season whatever league he goes to. Here he made a huge contribution with that goal as well.

Uruguay actually had a really good potential in this tournament but wasted it by losing to Colombia unexpectedly. Playing against 10 players for 45 minutes but not managing to score a single goal... 

Previously, many expected Uruguay to qualify for the final rather than Colombia. If this scenario happened, Argentina would very easily beat Uruguay. Canada really made a surprise, they managed to get two goals back after trailing 1-0 in the 8th minute, but Luis Suarez ended Canada dream with a goal he scored just before the end of the game. This goal opened up opportunities for Uruguay, as well as providing a bonus for the spectators, the match had to continue until the penalty shootout and Uruguay managed to secure third place. Canada looked a little nervous towards the end of the match, if they had played a little calmer by staying focused in their defensive area or changing the game to a defensive one, maybe they would have secured the victory they had achieved.

It's very clear that if uruguay's team was exhausted, and Bielsa was the main cause of it. Uruguay could win the game easily, but due to the fatigue, and they played bad enough in this game. I appreciate that Uruguay won the game against Canada. It was very hard for Uruguay.

I did not expect the game to get into penalties because I consider Uruguay the more dominant team than Canada, but Canada somehow found a way to stretch the game and almost won it; if not that, one of their penalties hit the bar. Uruguay have been good in this competition, so they deserve 3rd place, and Luiz Suarez the phenomenal goal scorer we've always known, deserved the man of the match award.

Uruguay finally can gets 3rd place from Canada and i think it's not easy for them because Canada has displayed fantastic performance even Canada almost being an the winner of the match but luckily Uruguay can equalized the score from Suarez and in the current tournament Uruguay is very strong while playing at penalty shootout because they can beat Brazil and the latest Canada from this stages however correct me if i am wrong because since 2015 this is one of the best achievement from Uruguay

Next match also would be so interesting because Argentina will playing at the final match against Colombia and i think it's not required more to analysis because obviously the people will predict Argentina will win in this match even the bookmakers also placing them as the favourite with odds @2.08 and indeed this is easy pick because i am sure people will bets on Argentina in this match especially Argentina performance during this tournament always be impressive because before advances to the final match Argentina have passed 5 matches and they only conceded 1 goal so this record is proven Argentina is very strong in this tournament and for Messi fans i am sure they hoping Argentina can defend their title and let see it later whether Argentina will be the winner of this match or Colombia will surprised us with overcomes Argentina

Bronze Final as been played and the 3rd place has been crowned with a rescued by Suarez who have saved them from a defeat, indeed Uruguay should be greatful to Suarez with his effort he did it once again, Canada really tried beyond my expectation because I didn't expect this to reach this level but unfortunately Uruguay where looking for a surviving to win, which I expect them to win Canada with ease.

Now we are left with Argentina and Colombia, To my own observation Argentina are the favourites to win because they have that potential to win it, one thing I like with Argentina is that they don't underestimate any team, they always play as if they are playing with a team stronger than them.

This is the final match, where both teams will be very careful when fighting on the field. One mistake can have fatal consequences for the team that makes it. Even though Argentina is actually superior, what is certain is that Colombia will not just give up. There was a battle of tactics and strategy in this final match, Argentina could have let Colombia control the ball more like when Argentina played in the World Cup in a crucial match. or, Scaloni took the initiative to choose his team with a direct attacking pattern from the first half whistle. It could be the other way around, Colombia played aggressively to put pressure on the Argentina squad. or, they choose to play defensively and take the opportunity to counterattack quickly. I am eagerly waiting to enjoy the Colombia vs Argentina Copa Final match. Frankly, I was quite surprised with how this match went because I thought that Uruguay would get an easy win in this match but, what happened was that Canada played quite impressively and they were able to provide fierce resistance to Uruguay. Canada could have won this match if only they could have played calmly toward the end of the match, unfortunately, they looked very nervous when facing pressure from Uruguay, and that actually created an opening for Uruguay to get their goal.

I wasn’t actually expecting that kind of performance from both teams because some times, players see a third place play off as unimportant game. It was a different approach yesterday from Canada and Uruguay as both teams played with high level of seriousness. Although, I did not expect the game to end up in penalty shootout having placed my bet on Uruguay to win in a regular time of play.

I have observed how most games played in this tournament ended in shootout and I come to a conclusion that no team is small or can be underrated in football. Canada displayed impressive performance from the beginning of this tournament which I actually least expect from them. Congratulations by the way to Uruguay for winning the third place in this year Copa, I believe they can go farther next year.

Even though they weren't able to win the America's Cup, even though they weren't able to get third place, I still think that Canada did very well in that competition. If before this World Cup started, someone told me that Canada would be able to finish in 4th place, I wouldn't believe that person, I would say that that person has no idea what they're talking about. because before this competition started, I looked at Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela as the likely teams that would occupy positions 1, 2 and 3. But Canada surprised me by managing to reach position 4, something that not even Even Brazil couldn't do it.

with this performance, I think that Canada could at least be able to pass the group stage of the world cup, as they are one of the teams that will organize the world cup, so they already have guaranteed qualification, in this competition, they proved that they can play well, I hope they keep the same coach and the same players when they play in the world cup. about Uruguay, they got third place, which is something relevant and looking at their performance in this competition, I would say that they are to be congratulated


Personally, I've already bet on Argentina's victory because I believe Argentina has what it takes to win the game, but it won't be an easy game for Argentina, Colombia has been a nightmare for Argentina in the last 5 games in which both teams have played each other, so example:

Before 2022 there were 3 games in which there were 2 draws and 1 victory for Colombia, since 2022 Colombia has improved a lot and this will be a big problem for Argentina, but even so I already bet that Argentina will win
