It's going to be a great game because Colombia are going to give it all they've got, but I don't believe they'll win. They've been very good, but Argentina has also been equally good. They know how to win. Argentina don't fold under pressure, if you score them, they'll fight back. I don't think there's any national team right now hat can win against Argentina on their day currently.
The Messi factor is one thing, but when you look at the whole team you'll understand how balanced it is. There is no weak link. There's no single wing in the Argentine started 11 that's weak. That's a pretty balanced team and they play as a team.

I'm not saying Colombia don't stand a chance, but for them to win, they have to fight twice as hard because Argentina will push them to the last. And to top everything up, they have a very solid and confident keeper at the back behind a very solid defence. I'd like to see Colombia come up against the highly motivated Argentina team.

Messi as a solo player can't be trusted in finals but on the other hand, Di Maria always does wonders in finals. Is it confirmed that Messi will play in the Copa America final? I read on goal.com that it wasn't confirmed but I also read on ESPN that Messi plans to play in this final and it might be his last game for Argentina. I hope it won't be because I think we all want to see him in World Cup 2026, he can and probably should retire after that.

Colombia has a great defense. They managed to block all the attacks from Uruguay on the last game, even with one less player on their team. They don't have the best of the offensive teams, but it's a solid balanced squad which doesn't lack quality in any positions. In my opinion a balanced squad is better than having an offensive one, but without any defense in counterpart.

I hope Colombia wins, but the odds definitely don't worth. It's too much risk for a 2.6x profit. If odds were 3x or higher I would consider it a very good opportunity to take the risk. Anyway, I expect a balanced gameplay with some exciting surprises.

For the game to be more challenging, let's hope this time we aren't going to have any red cards, otherwise the match gets too boring with one of the teams playing only defensively.

I agree with you on this, James Rodríguez won’t go down without a hard fight against Messi for the Copa trophy, and as long as Colombia is present in finals that means they are playing well and capable of winning against any team of this competition. Personally, I believe every team has a 50% chances of winning as long as the match didn’t start.

Wouldn't call it a day in this one too early. Argentina has had problems in those other games. It is out of the question that they often times have more control over the game, but you can just watch the game Spain - England and see what can happen despite one team more or less dominating the other.

It is a final and Colombia will give everything they have. Argentina won't win this with ease and certainly not something like 3-0. It's going to be another close one - same thing as now in the European Championship.

And Argentina intensively pressuring their opponents through short pass - direct attack. That's why im rooting Argentina to win the game against Colombia soon. The only problem for Argentina that must be anticipated is Colombia's attackers.

Many underrate James Rodriguez as an attacker. But, he could surprise us anytime. Luis Diaz also poses the main threat for Argentina. He is fast and strong. I don't see other players than James and Diaz to be the biggest threats for Argentina. That's why I have reason to say Argentina will win. They have better defenders. There's is also Lautaro Martinez along with Messi.

All in all, various aspects suggest me to root for Argentina to win the game. 2-0 against Colombia.

What do you mean by collectively that Columbia lacks? Can you explain that? Cos the Columbia that Argentina is playing against in the Copa America finals has stayed unbeaten in their last 28 matches. That's to say, they have displayed different football tactics(short pass - direct attack - counterattack- defensive game, etc) to stay unbeaten for that long. Who knows whether they can shock everyone by winning against Argentina to lift the Copa America for the second time cause they last won in 2001(23 years ago), winning this time around will not be a bad idea or move for them. Notwithstanding, both teams playing skills are fantastic. It's a 50:50 match ending in a penalty shootout. Columbia or Argentina wins

It was heartbreaking for Canada as Uruguay took 3rd place at Copa America 2024 by winning in penalty kicks. Penalty kicks decide the winner after 90 minutes of regular time and 30 minutes of extra time. I wasn't fully convinced Uruguay would win. In my opinion, they simply had the better team but were outplayed by Canada. Canada deserved this victory more than anyone. However, Canada should be proud of finishing fourth. They brought a nation together, and the future looks good for Canadian soccer.

I'm actually surprised they managed to score 2 goals against Uruguay and furthermore to push the game towards penalties so they should be pleased with their achievement and their football style at this Copa America. I can also say that Canada has currently a way better football than USA and that was not the case before this Copa America.

Now , I must also congrats my favorites Uruguay who got 3rd place after a long break of actually achieving anything at Copa America and if Bielsa stays with this team , I'm sure next Copa America might be with them in the finals and even lifting the trophy.

They played fearless and could have even won without extra time and more. But Luis Suarez's life saver in the stoppage time led to Uruguay's finishing Copa America as the 3rd.

He is 37 years old but still cooking. He has been continuing to score many goals in a season whatever league he goes to. Here he made a huge contribution with that goal as well.

Uruguay actually had a really good potential in this tournament but wasted it by losing to Colombia unexpectedly. Playing against 10 players for 45 minutes but not managing to score a single goal... Sad

Yeah, it's really unexpected to see Suarez scored a goal, Uruguay still not yet able to lost Suarez, they still need him. Uruguay deserved to finish in third position, although they're struggle to win.

Uruguay did try to score a goal when Colombia only have 10 players, Uruguay completely dominate the match in second half, maybe it was a mistake to not replace Nunez with Suarez, Suarez was playing as a defensive midfielder in that match.

Tomorrow the final match will start, I'm still hoping Colombia to pull upsets.
