So all that hand washing and OCD level surface cleaning probably didn't do much.

According to the CDC, you have less than a 1 in 10,000 chance of contracting COVID after touching a surface contaminated surface. We are now over a year into this global pandemic, and this is the guidelines. Things are constantly changing and it seems like the CDC flips its recommendation on a whim, which means the research they used to form their initial guidelines didn't seem to be so strong, as with most things.

What it did for me was got me researching things more and understanding even more technically the mechanisms by which hand cleaners can lead to health problems.

It's abundantly clear that the 'authorities' are not just trying to scare us with all their covid fear factor nonesense, but are actively and deliberately trying to harm us.  I avoid any establishment which puts gunk on my hands.  At the very best it is just alcohol based sanitizer that clears out the helpful bacteria which team up with one's healthy body to fight off harmful environmental pathogens.  Equally likely it contains other components as well which will ultimately end up getting me to be a medical/industrial complex junkie with cancer and what-not.  Maybe twice per month I go into a place which tries to spray the crap on me, and even then I usually am able to go through a motions without actually getting the stuff on me.

Back in 1989 it was known Coronavirus is the common cold. Flu is way more severe and affects whole body not only respiratory system.

A little more than a year after the start of the pandemic, I use a disposable face mask appropriate one, social distancing and all the other recommendations but mainly those two. I think I have done well or at least I have tried not to get infected, we always think that by not infecting us saves our lives, but we really save many persons of our environment. This new wave can be of greater impact now is when we can help the most by following the basic recommendations.

On the other hand, medicines are scarce in some places, antibiotics are expensive, it helps to spread "reliable" information among your contacts, there is always someone willing to help and who can have that medicine, one can be that liaison.

Keeping in touch with friends and family who suffer from the disease through digital media is vital for infected people, many of them become depressed and this directly affects their recovery, I  encourage yourself to leave messages of solidarity.

btw staying positive, it is time to be a leader in our family and social environment, the second best "weapon" at this time is a positive attitude and especially when the news may not be encouraging in the short term.

Open discussion. Not about what can/should governments do, or who the bad guys are. Assume it's as bad as the Great Influenza of 1918, but we know more now, and we're going to do better this time.

A small percentage will die, many - some that you know and some that you don't know - will be quarantined.

What can you do to help?

Be part of the vaccination to ensure that I won't have my family especially my parents to not get the virus.

Always be mindful of the current situation of the country, and be part of the voices to be heard as a member of a democratic country.

Share my knowledge on how to somehow fight the virus when you caught it as hospitals are now full of people in dire situation.

I help. I help. Read my signature area at the bottom. And read the article, as well.

Coronavirus jabs continue killing people as homicidal governments dishonestly claim they are “safe and effective”

Another 25-or-so cases of "rare blood clots" occurred in Brits who were jabbed for the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) with AstraZeneca's injection, and the government of the United Kingdom has sort of acknowledged it.

Stopping short of flat-out linking the vaccine to the deadly adverse events, U.K. authorities are now reluctantly claiming that some batches of the injection must be "defective," and this is why lots of people are becoming seriously injured or dropping dead from the shots.

Despite all this, Britain's medicines regulator is still claiming that the jabs at large are "safe," insisting that it is still unclear, somehow, whether or not the injections had anything to do with the deadly blood clots.

In as much as it has to do with humanity (mankind) it is difficult for real because humans are very difficult to control they don’t adhere to instructions they make things hard for themselves by going against given rules and regulations.
My suggestion will sound silly to some, but if given a second thought 💭 you gonna see the sense and idea in it. COVID 19 has killed a whole lot of people lately especially last year in 2020, the old the young died as a result of this deadly virus 🦠 it is a killer disease so it has to be followed with all manner of seriousness and not to be taken for granted.
Unfortunately some countries and nations has neglected the basis over time, most people have felt relaxed like it’s all gone, my people COVID-19 lives amongst us. The safety precautions the government and world 🌎 health organization gave is not been followed and adhered to properly.
Moreover it’s not as easy as I write ✍️ to be cautious 24/7 , we’re humans and most times we get tired 😓 and lazy towards some certain things. We get weak and go against the rules, thinking 🤨 that all is well and balanced all of a sudden.
Then boom 🤯 it’s calamities begins to befall us and we all get affected and plaque for our inability to follow protocols and rules that were given.
My point is personal hygiene is the very important, it comes first here we have to be individually prepared trying to clean up 🧹 our environment and houses 🏘 Government won’t come to our homes to help us in doing all that. We have to give ourselves discipline only discipline would make it work and obedience to the already given rules and guidelines. Getting vaccinated isn't a bad idea too but it should be from a right and trusted source. This is the reason I didn’t include it from the very beginning. There are so many adulterated ones .
We ought to be very careful God helping us. This phase shall pass too. Normalcy returning soon.

What can you do to help?
The virus is existing for over a year already and yet still here infecting many. Even the vaccine is made to cure and serves us prevention to people, it seems its not enough to totally get rid of the virus. If only all of us cooperate and cautious by following the rules and health protocols then the infected can be lessen until there's 0 cases.

What we can do is take care of ourselves and spread words of encouragement to other people that we can overcome this problem. Remind them to follow the rules for the sake of not getting infected, it might have less impact but its a simple gesture that you care for others.

I think one of the best thing i can do to help is First: To Pray regardless of their religion, praying for God to help those victim healed and recover, second to help those who are in need, with whatever I have and third to encouraged and lift up those who are spiritually and emotionally and mentally struggle, to cheer them up encouraged in any way possible and last to follow the health protocol and keep oneself safe always and remind others to do so.

One of the best things we can do is to show the fraud involved with Covid.

As of this writing, there have been 462,258 in the US according to Worldometer - https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/.

An area in Spain that used high amounts of vitamin D with their population showed an 82% reduction in so-called Covid deaths - https://www.naturalnews.com/2021-01-22-vitamin-d-reduced-coronavirus-deaths-in-spain.html#.

That's all without the CDC's proclamation that says that 94% of deaths were from comorbidities - https://duckduckgo.com/?q=cdc+94%25+covid+deaths+due+to+comorbidities&t=canonical&ia=web.

What this really means is two points:
1. There is total confusion regarding the truth about Covid and non-Covid deaths;
2. If we used high doses of vitamin D, we could save people from as much as 82% of comorbidities (cancer, heart disease, diabetes, etc., etc.), as well as 82% of the stuff that is Covid/flu/pneumonia (since the CDC dumped them all together under one heading).

My little contribution to the world at large, it's simple,

1. Steady washing of hands.
2. Compulsory use of face mask
3. Healthy living
4. social distancing
5. Day to day medical checkup.

However, I will strongly suggest that we all should to endeavor to go for covid test regularly, and also be on good diets, like fruits for our immune system..

Individuals need to educate themselves on how to protect themselves from contracting the virus and if they get it, educate themselves on how to avoid spreading the virus. They would need to take these precautions.

Alcohol hand sanitizer is to protect yourself.

A mask is mostly to prevent infecting other people.

If you had to, would you be ready to self-isolate yourself for two weeks?
Some people think that using these protective protections will not really help, maybe if they also do not want to be protected.
Nowadays, no matter how concerned you are with others, what they want will still be followed.
Then when there are quarantine rules they are still angry, they reason, they will be hungry, their lives will be meaningless because they are just locked up at home. But what is wrong is the mindset that they currently running into.

You can help by not double masking up, contrary to what Dr. Fauci has said! According to some health officials in Biden's own administration, double masking up means the air flow will float outside the gaps of the mask instead of floating through the cloth and capturing respiratory droplets. Once again, Fauci is spouting nonsense about masks as if they're actually going to stop this thing.

The best thing to do is learn Tedros dance move as it stops the virus dead in his track (about 1min mark)

The best thing we can do is follow the safety regulations. Wear a mask, practice social distancing, follow the curfew rules and don't fight the lockdown. All we need is to stop the transmission for two weeks and we would be fine. Unfortunately even after 1 year people are not willing to wear a mask in public.

@Spendulus the very first step to help would be is to wash one’s hand constantly, and second would be to wear a mask whenever you’re travelling outside. Third and most important step is to avoid spreading rumours, and only share verifiable information with your loved ones. Last and the most important step would be is to offer them hope that they’ll recover soon from this, even though there’s no precise cure for this but there’s a possibility that people may recover hence we should help them stay strong during this phase.

Smokers who damaged the lungs fair much worse then average population.

It isn't the damage to the lungs that causes smokers to be at an increased risk. Smoking increases the ACE-2 receptors that are used by the virus.
