Patriotism even while playing also.Kudoos for that kind of people.

Money is not entirely important when it comes to national duties which applies same for the games as well.Give your best no matter how much you are getting paid for that then world will remember them for too long.

I dont think cricket has got what it had right now, there was a time when a match between 2 nations was more than a war but now its just a sport with money. Thats why very less hard core fans these days.

You cannot force that to a sports person, it is a sport and what national duties are you talking about, BCCI is like a consortium of different states and they are not even sending them to any national games representing India and what makes you think that they should ignore money and fulfill something else Roll Eyes. Everyone is here for the money and sports people have a small window to make money and hence you cannot tie anyone up in my opinion.
There are lot of politics involved in cricket as like any other profession which is the reason why real talents were not being a part always in a squad. But money should not be the entire motivation for someone when they are playing for a country we knew the stories of people who earned money but fades away from history but one few who gave their 200% remain in the hears of 1.4 billion people in India.

Yes, it happened. Once after the IPL not only West Indies players, even few Australian players can't be seen playing for the team. When Symonds was given rest or suspended from the team for some disciplinary issue he mentioned that he will play only IPL thats more than enough for him. This is how the players are paid from IPL, when the same player falls under the top category pay will be very big. World's second most popular league. First is a soccer league.

Although I would agree with what you said about the West Indian players, I am not sure whether we can say the same about the Australian players. Recently, Mitchell Starc pulled out of the IPL auctions (last year he was signed by the Kolkata Knight Riders for a massive $1,320,000). From what I have seen, the Australian players have always prioritized their national duty over the franchise T20 leagues.

We can't say that WI team is not performing because their salaries are very less, they also need to find the right combination as a team even if they have many individual talents so for that captain is responsible along with the selection committee while selecting squads for tournaments.Someone needs to step up who can find as team not only talents.

I never said their salaries are low. I said that the WICB is unable to pay the same level of money, that the T20 franchises are paying. And this has been the case ever since the first edition of the Indian Premier League (back in 2008). Players such as Andre Russell and Sunil Narine are some of the highest paid cricketers in the world, but we don't see them playing for West Indies very often.
Its true that their salaries are low even lot of players got pending payments for years because countries like India and African nations are not same in economical status.IPL is more like a business than a tournament so private owners are spending millions to make business so its purely a kind of business every year but as a player they have to trust their skills not how much they are making.

WI team got the best t20 format players compared to toehr countries but they still failed to give results when they all are working as a team so what is the wrong with WI team? I feel they lack captaincy who can lead the team members in the right way,if they got someone like Dhoni on their team then they will turn into unbeatable one.

Well... this particular subject has been debated in detail many times previously. The problem is that the WICB can't afford the salaries these T20 franchises pay to their players. After all international cricket is just like any other career option and given the limited time window, I don't think that we can really blame the players. And there is no way we can hold the captain responsible for this. It's not his fault.

You cannot find a full strength West Indies all the time and they will only play major tournaments and even if the T20 rankings are not that great if the entire T20 specialist play in the world cup they could win the tournament and you cannot complain a captain without giving good players and say that they are not winning, let the board provide good players and then if they are not performing you can complain the captain. You cannot find another player like Dhoni in world cricket and i hope we will see him play in the upcoming world cup.

Anyway, India and West Indies are about to face off soon in a T-20 series which will be interesting to watch since both teams won their recent matches comprehensively.

Are you sure? West Indies lost the T20I series against Afghanistan 2-1. They lost the last two matches of the series, after winning the first match. And India's wins against Bangladesh were also not "comprehensive". They also won the series 2-1, by winning the first and third matches. In T20, format, one-sided matches are rarer compared to the other formats, thanks to the short duration and the presence of T20 specialists even in minor countries such as Nepal (Lamichchane) and Ireland (Sirling, O'Brien.etc).

Not expecting  any magical performance from West Indies with the team they are having but i wont be surprised if they defeat in a game in this series as Bangladesh too defeated India and then they came back from behind and won the series and it can happen here too because you cannot underestimate anyone in the T20 format.
Very true. This is what makes the T-20 format so dazzling and fun to watch. Also, the odds on these matches are almost always great value in my opinion. If India chooses their younger team, West Indies could give them stiff competition.

I mentioned the word 'comprehensive' since both teams did defeat their counterparts(India vs BAN and West Indies vs AFG) in the recent test matches and India defeated BAN across all formats which is why both teams are high on adrenaline right now.

Why in the world are everyone talking about the ball-tampering incident all of a sudden? The world has moved on and Smith and Warner got the ban that they deserved and they came back stronger than ever.
It became a topic of discussion because you supported the ban i guess, before that we have not seen a ban of one year for ball tampering and it is going on for a lot of years and none of the players got a one year ban for ball tampering, you might have your view in it but everyone will have their opinion when it comes to their favorite players.

We are going to watch first match of this series tomorrow as its has nothing special to talk as India is very strong at home West Indies will try to give some tough time may be from this young side we will have some good performance but India still able to beat them very easily as they also have some good and attacking youth players in squad.

Normally the pace bowlers use their towel (or even their trousers) to scratch the ball on one side and then apply their sweat to make that side heavier. This is an open secret and till now no bowler was penalized for doing this. The question is if using the towel is perfectly legal, then how we can say that using sand-paper is illegal? As far as I know, there is no rule which specifically states so.
The bowlers usually use towel and even spit and other tricks to change the shape of the bowl and usually the fielders used to throw the ball on the ground for no reason to change the shape of the ball and that trick is no longer accepted as they will get a direct warning but you cannot use an outside object like a sand paper to change the ball and it is not accepted as these tricks can change the results and it cannot be accepted, the match should be between skills and not about who has the best tricks to win the match.

You are confusing illegal manipulation with the natural one. Making one side rough by pitching it on the same side isn't illegal. But if you will use sandpapers to rough it that's another story.

That said, it is difficult to digest the fact that two batsmen got suspended for ball tampering. Do you believe that their bowlers are all angels and this plan was only known to Warner and Smith?
The decision to tamper the ball will be known by the entire team and the captain and the vice captain has taken the fall and it is not that the rest are angels but the captain and the vice captain took the responsibility and the punishment was harsh as Shakib Al Hasan was did not disclose about a bookie approaching him got two years while ball tampering got a years ban, not sure what is the right punishment for all these things but i find these excessive.
