I don't think we can expect a result from this match because SL still playing first innings and most likely India going to start their second innings soon because SL already lost two-wicket this morning and now Sri Lanka leading by 47 runs and another 3 wickets remaining in the 1st innings. If SL can reach around 300 runs in first innings will be a good total. If again India failed in second innings and lost wickets quickly then tomorrow we can see some exciting match.

I expected this to be a good encounter when i saw the Indian famed batting collapsed ,but rain spoiled the entire match and with Srilanka still batting in the first innings it is hard to see a result in this match from this situation,India's tour to South Africa is a good challenge and hopefully we would see competitive cricket but South Africa will be winning the series. Cheesy

They are in comfortable position now SL team , they gotto post 300 and declare before tomorrow lunch then they have a huge chance of winning this match , if they couldn't post 250 + then it will end as draw . My chips are on SL to win this match .

Sri Lanka is trailing by just more 7 runs in first innings and still, they got another six wickets to build this innings. I think they can add easily another 150+ runs to this total if they play like today. This has proved that SL is not a weak team and they can give a surprise any time. All Indian batsman completely failed to read the pitch and score runs. Just because of last few batsmen they manage to score those 172 runs otherwise they wouldn't have reached that total as well.

Sri Lanka can only play good against India as they are familiar with India players and ground. If on 4th day Sri Lanka are able to put 200+ target for India then i think they can win this test as India Batsman are not able to face Sri Lanka bouwlers. Now This test match has come to a interesting stage even when 2 days were washed out of Rain.

SL have really comeback and making the best use of this pitch as its rain affected the pitch is good for the pace bowlers and SL is not letting that away. India are 135/8 and I think around 150 they will be all out. Now only say 2.5 days of play remains that to if there is no rains. It should be difficult for any one to win from here.

I think you can't blame everything on the pitch because if a pitch is so bad then how come Pujara is playing so nice?

In a test match, you need to play slowly until you get used to that pitch instead of going after any bowlers from the beginnings. It is actually batsman fault as well or they are so much used to short format games so they can't play slowly test matches.

I am really surprised to see India struggling against Srilanka and the weather is playing here and India loosing five wickets even before crossing the three figure mark is a rare instant for a very long time in Indian cricket and i would like to see how this innings end up,India does have a good bowling up to mess up the Srilankan batsmen but the score they put in the first innings is more important and off course the weather.

It looks like all because of rain pitch might be supporting bowlers. They already completed two days in this match but still, India can't able to complete one innings. If this rain continues like this, then we may not get a result from this game. Only Pujara can able to stay and score some decent runs and rest of all the Indian top orders failed to score even ten runs. It is one of the worst batting performance from Indian players.

As said by the weather forecaster, it rained today and ruined the match again, the pitch has turned lethal for the batsman I believe. Even tomorrow they said it would rain but partially and possibility is that it might not rain. If it doesn't it would be great to see the match, but still the pitch would be kind off wet and Batsman will still face problems. And if Sri Lanka gets to bat, I think they might also face the similar issues.

Why will Indians declare the innings at this situation? No real good batsmen left to play in the first innings so obviously they will try to take it as slow as possible , SL have got a real chance here to dismiss the remaining batsmen by noon and score quick . They can win this one.
