Crypto is always up and down and this is cyclical. viewed from the present, crypto still has a long way to go and a thriving condition. ICO and crypto indeed in bad condition this time, but this does not illustrate that it would also be bad for some time in the future. but being a developer for blockchain instead of the easy thing because it's a pretty risky position.

Blockchain tech is on is own,a dip in crypto cannot totally affect blockchain tech.Blockchain tech can be useful outside crypto.It is hot in demand now.A good path if you ask me.

I think your idea is solid there is definitely a strong demand for developers across the sector and that demand is only going to increase. Blockchain technology is still in its infancy and it is likely to find a place in regular businesses as well as the crypto startups.
I think it's a great idea and a great experience for you personally and for your growth. I think ICO will be held always and their importance will only grow, you know in a falling market it is very difficult to begin to invest in new projects.

The market for ICO's may be in a very poor state but that does not mean that there is any drop in the need for developers. There are lots of companies looking for talent and that won't change anytime soon no matter what happens to the ICO market. If you have the skills to become a developer I would recommend seizing the opportunity. Blockchains are here to stay and are only going to get bigger.
